Rest up London - Hostel

不如監獄。無空調，無風扇，窗户既打不開，也關不上，衹有一個透氣縫。骯臟。 我不知道什麼人會支持這種旅社存在。因為它遠比青旅差得多。 據查詢，這棟樓原本是給非法難民臨時居住的，後來被現在的老闆盤下來做生意，除了前台區域基本沒裝修，原汁原味。也就是你要花錢去住難民免費都不願意住的地方。 老闆人品很差，在平台登出私人衞生間房型，結果衞生間沒有馬桶，馬桶要出去用公用的。我被騙後要求退款被拒絕。所以我衹能去拍個照，評個論。我也沒入住，換了其他酒店。 錢就當捐了吧。

I have to admit, the lobby really surprised me—it’s stylish and has a nice vibe, which gave me a good first impression. The staff I met were pretty nice and polite throughout my stay, which I appreciated. The location is super convenient, and for the price I paid, it felt like a good deal at first. The bathroom was a bit cramped, but at least there was hot water, which was a relief. But honestly, the negatives outweighed the positives for me When I finally got to my room, I was shocked to see that the “mattress” was actually just a blue gymnastics mat—definitely not what I expected. Even though the sheets were clean, it was uncomfortable and I barely slept well the whole time. It was summer during my stay and the room was absolutely boiling—over 30°C in the daytime. There was no air conditioning, not even a fan, and I felt like I was melting every night. Honestly, I dreaded going to bed. The soundproofing was terrible too; I could hear people shouting at night, which made it even harder to get any rest. Another thing that annoyed me was that the website said there was a dryer available, but it was out of order—just like the elevator. To be honest, the stylish lobby and friendly staff simply weren’t enough to make up for all these issues. I really wanted to like this place, but I left feeling tired and disappointed.

Considering the amount we paid, it was a good stay. It was easily accessible and the staff was also good.

A very basic hostel, but in a convenient location, and a building with a fascinating history. Plus, they do the basics well. Room and sheets were clean and the shower was warm. For its price, nothing to complain about.

Great location, Anderson in reception was so friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great stay 😎 A little noisy due to traffic, just make sure you take ear plugs.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at rest up hostel. Can honestly say having read the other reviews, i was dreading staying here as a young mother with my son, however it exceeded my expectations. On arrival as you pull up, yes the walls have graffiti but as soon as you enter through the gates, the grounds are well maintained and the building decor is very querky. Staff are extremely polite and professional. There isn't a lift working so the staircase can be heavy going especially if your room is on floors 3 or above. I booked twin with en-suite. Had hot water daily and room was clean. If you forget a towel, to request one its £5 per towel. There was a couple of minor repairs needed to sink tap and bathroom door lock but nothing that spoiled our time in London. Its cheap and cheerful, remember that and you'll be pleasantly surprised.
