Awful. Not worth it at all !!!! Mouldly shower, left over nails in the room , so dirty, so small you cant even open a suitcase here. The heating doesnt work. Better off in travelodge. Avoid. Feels like a prison cell rather than a nice hotel. Avoid avoid

I booked a room at the City Continental Kensington London Hotel on September 2023 for a stay in July 2024. Way upfront! When I reached to the hotel last week, the reception staff told me that they were closed to public for the last 3 months. I didn´t get any communication before my arrival to the hotel and the money was reimbursed only when I was there. Heads up! If you are planning to stay at this hotel in the summer of 2024, be 100% sure they are open, because I needed to find a last-minute accommodation in London in the month of July for 4 people, paying an extra cost that I wasn´t counting on. My advice, look for another hotel and avoid a headache

The bed was comfy and the shower powerful. Location was great. Rooms need updating, the curtains were tatty, there was bobbling on the wall due to damp, not able to open the window. Shower in the bathroom had mould all round the bottom of it. Air con unit didn't look safe to use. Not much storage.

The bathroom was dirty, bed was horribly uncomfortable with springs sticking in our backs, the room was stuffy, no ventilation to speak of. There was a barely functional very small exhaust fan in the bathroom. The bathroom door wouldn't shut because of bent transition trim in the threshold. One of the worst rooms I have had the displeasure of staying in during my travels. Most definitely not worth the prices they charge. Wish my fiance had checked reviews before she booked, lesson learned

Long story short...avoid this hotel. We had booked originally for 4 nights. A double room and a twin room for 4 people in our group. On arrival we were allocated 'basement rooms'. These proved to be very small. The double room had less than a foot of space between the end of the bed and the wall. the room consisted of a double bed with a very uncomfortable mattress. The sheets and pillows were clean. There was a small dresser table type set up with an office chair that had seen a lot of dirt and very little cleaning. It looked like it had had a hard life. The double room stank of damp and you could also smell the bathroom drains throughout the small room. The only ventilation was via a fan in the bathroom or a full glass door to the back of the hotel. You wouldn't be going to sleep with that open. The twin room was also very cramped and when a suitcase was opened there wasn't much carpet left to be seen. there were approx 4 hangers for clothes which isn't much for two peoples worth of clothing. both rooms had faulty shower doors. We stayed one night in these rooms and requested to get rooms elsewhere in the hotel the next day to give them another chance..... The hotel managed to find us another twin and double room and on face value these rooms were much better than the previous rooms. More spacious. Unfortunately the next morning in the double room I was awoken by water dripping in the room via a light fitting. That was the straw that broke the camels back. We cancelled the rest of our stay. The majority of the staff tried hard to make our stay as good as they could but on the evidence of the 4 rooms we had over the two nights this hotel is in a state of disrepair. The carpets in the 4 rooms were well worn and had seen some dirt and little tlc. Avoid this hotel. When we stayed there was rain and at the rear of the hotel there was flooding due to poorly maintained drains.

nous avons directement réservé à la réception de cet hotel 4 nuits. Nous avons trouvé les prix très intéressants par rapport aux autres hotels du quartier. Nous nous sommes fait préciser les raisons de ces tarifs, il nous a été répondu que l'hotel changeait de direction et qu'il venait de ré-ouvrir apres renovation. Nous avons effectué notre reservation et avons pris en plus, en raison d'une fête familiale, 4 autres chambres. Nous nous sommes fait préciser l'heure d'arrivée (14h) celle du départ (12h) avec ou sans petit déjeuner .... Quelle ne fut notre surprise à notre arrivée, au premier jour de la reservation de nous entendre dire que ces dernières n'étaient que pour la journée, pas pour les nuits et que pour la nuit le prix étaient plus du double. La direction n'a accepté aucun arrangement, aucun compromis et n'a pas reconnu ses erreurs. Pour avoir reserver des hotels partout dans le monde, c'est notre première experience de ce type. Totale incompétence, mauvaise fois absolue : hotel à éviter absolument
