Sand Cay Condominium Beach Resort

This condo was great for my family. We were right on the beach, they have a pool, and provide chairs for the beach as well. Unlike some hotels around us our beach was less busy and more enjoyable than others we have seen. The water was clear and we had a great time looking for shells.

The view from unit 204 is the best !! You can’t go wrong by picking this unit . So close to the beach and its pool . Next door to the zota resort so you can walk over for a beverage or meal . Tent a bike for the week and bike the island . Pickleball on site . We biked to sips and had a wonderful Breakfast . What I would suggest is update thebedding for the beds . They r worn . Also the dishes were not clean and I had to run them through the dishwasher : The view was amazing !!

The kitchen in unit 115 is very tired. All of the glassware is plastic that is old, cracked and worn. The cereal bowls are scratched, the cutting boards are scratched and broken, the spatula was broken, the crock-pot was dirty, baking sheets have permanent stains. The bathroom had an old toilet brush that was dirty and stained, the closets were packed with owners belongings so we couldn't use shelves, the laundry room had a rusted and broken beach chair and a broken drying rack. Unit 115 needs a re-fresh and a massive deep clean.

An amazing beach resort stay, the unit we stayed in was completely remodeled as of November 2023. Beds were comfortable, unit was very clean, and modern. It felt like the owners truly cared that their guests had a comfortable and welcoming experience. The condo is perfectly located to enjoy beautiful sunset views and morning walks on the beach. Lastly, the walk to the beach give or take is only about a minute or two, which is tough to beat! I highly recommend this resort and unit for any family or couples looking to enjoy a beautiful vacation in Longboat Key.

We have been looking for a place to set up our new family reunion tradition. The past two summers we left other places wishing for better accommodations. Sand Cay is it! God willing, we will be coming back. We found clean spacious units fully equipped for cooking, gathering and enjoying the great gulf beach. Definitely recommend this place if you are interested in a quiet and peaceful family vacation.

I'm writing this for my mother who doesn't have TripAdvisor. When we arrived for our 4 month stay in unit 115, there had NOT been a deep clean performed. It was visibly filthy, including dirt and dust all over furniture and bed frames, blood on a pillow, and rusty and old toilet brushes. Over the course of our stay, our maintenance issues were difficult to resolve. We had to personally purchase a replacement oven light because our requests for repair were not acknowledged. An AC vent was loose and hanging from ceiling. Interior of oven was FILTHY and smokes when we use it. Laundry room was filled to ceiling with owner's belongings, no room for our items. Broken beach chairs, broken drying rack. Very sub-par kitchen outfitting with dirty and stained glasses, cutting boards, etc. Our email to customer service from January a few weeks after arrival was just acknowledged- 8 weeks later, one month before our departure. Pool adequate. Beach beautiful. THIN walls and walking on floors above sounds like elephants- be warned if you rent on first floor. Kitchen stools are constantly DAMP from salt and wet bathing suit exposure from prior renters- complained to management and they belittled my concerns. We are here for FOUR months, so this is not just a small inconvenience, as though we're here for just a week. No vent or fan on stove for cooking in kitchen. This 4 month rental was not cheap, and the cleanliness of this unit should have been seen to, regardless of the length of our stay. TIP: make sure your unit has been refreshed/renovated. The old ones are not worth it.
