Ocean View Apartments

What a wonderful holiday we had on Lord Howe Island staying at Ocean View. Pick up from the plane, Kellie was punctual and very pleasant in the bus to take the six of us to our room at Ocean View. Kellie was so helpful during our week stay with driving us to restaurants every night and giving us hints and advice on all things important for our stay. The room was clean and fully equipped with all that we needed. The grounds were well maintained and very beautifully kept and although we didn’t swim in the pool it looked clean and easy to access. The location is good with a pleasant walk to the cbd and the cafes and the one bar. Be prepared for expensive drinks and food on the island ( similar to Sydney prices). On the whole a wonderful place to holiday. Thank you Lord Howe Island for sharing your beautiful with us. Would love to visit again.

Well Lord Howe Island is simply a must place to visit and I can recommend this place - nothing super flash but comfortable unit type accommodation with a great pool. Very simple accommodation but that is fine by me as the real attraction is the island itself , bush walking , beach swimming and snorkeling and SCUBA diving. If you stay here make sure you book in for dinner at on site restaurant Driftwood - it is sensational. The hosts will drop you off at local restaurants and then those restaurants will drop you back after dinner. A great games room and very friendly owners / staff will always help you out.

We had a great holiday and would highly recommend Oceanview Apartments. The owners were extremely helpful and accommodating. The swimming pool was very good and if you play tennis, there is an excellent court. The walk up the hill from our room gave us a 360 degree view of the island. Great for panorama photos. The island is a photographers delight, even for us amateurs. Lord Howe Island was perfect for us. Great snorkelling within an easy walk. The village was also very close and we had several visits to The Anchorage and I can recommend there fresh fruit salad. We enjoyed trying out several of the restaurants on the island at night and must thank Kerry for driving us to them. The restaurant on site at Oceanview (Driftwood) was also excellent. We had a very enjoyable night celebrating our wedding anniversary there. We don't have any complaints at all of our weeks stay there. Also highly recommend the boat cruise to Balls Pyramid with Reef N Beyond. Fantastic.
