Went for my friend's 40th and it was such an amazing experience. The resort was extremely clean and the staff was very nice. Will go back again

Had $400 dollars stolen from my purse in my room at this resort. When reported to staff, they didn’t seem surprised. The manager said unfortunately theft happens pretty frequently and they are rarely ever able to find out who stole the money. I left my purse in my room while at the pool and when we got back to our room the money was gone. I’ve seen other reviews that money is stolen out of safes often as well. Seems like an inside job to me.

Nacho and Daniel, waiters at the bar by the stage were wonderful! Nice, fun, funny, attentive, knowledgeable and great guys! We all loved sitting there! Great drinks! Great atmosphere!

Food isn’t great. A few rude employees (one yelled at me for putting a plastic cup in the plastic recycling! Apparently they want to re wash them even if cracked).but most were fantastic!

My husband and I visited Cabo San Lucas for the first time to celebrate our honeymoon. The good: the facility is very clean, the staff was EXCELLENT, the location is good, the pools lovely. The room itself was clean, great hot water on demand, comfortable bed/bedding, large bathroom, well kept grounds. Drinks were great. The bad: SO LOUD! Every night was something that lasted from 6:30/7:00 to 11 PM. Some nights were like your neighbor’s TV turned way up, It’s annoying but you can ignore it. Others were like the loudest club you’ve ever been in happening inside your bedroom. Obnoxiously, ridiculously loud. Maybe some people come to a resort for this, but we didn’t. It’s disrespectful to assume all guests enjoy this. At least end the loud music by 9 or 10 for some peace, or have it take place inside somewhere where not everyone has to listen to it. In addition to the nights, loud music was near constant at one of the pools. We walked across the resort to lay by the other pool for a little sound muffling and so we could hear the waves. Even though we had a wonderful trip, I wouldn’t return to the Riu Palace or recommend it to any friends over the age of 30 because of this. Food: Inconsistent at best. The breakfasts at the buffet tended to be pretty good. Which is good because it’s the only breakfast choice. For lunch and dinner the buffet was hit or miss. Really good one night when the other restaurants weren’t open, but not so great others. The food seemed to be a conglomeration of the specialty restaurants, plus extra. We tried four of the other places. Pepe’s hamburger stand by the pool was pretty good, the others a 2 on a scale of 1-5. There’s a lot of it, but for the most part it all tasted the same. Not bad, just not good.
