Our second stay in a Travelodge in the Eastbourne area due to family and hospital commitments. The Hellingly Travelodge is in better condition than the one on Willingdon Drove and was cleaner, apart from what looked like poo wiped across the bathroom ceiling, which the receptionist inspected and cleaned off. The standard of cleanliness of the room was OK, but the bathroom needed a good clean. The taps were rimmed with rust stains, the plug hole was dirty and the dirt around the back of the toilet seat was very off putting! What is it that Travelodge just do not seem to understand about cleanliness?

We visited hailsham to attend a wedding at this travelodge was the closest. Considering it was the weekend and nearly peak season the price was not that bad. The staff were really helpful and gave us a leaflet when checking in with taxi numbers and near by restaurants which was really helpful. Room was really clean and fresh

Inexpensive but feels like it - some cost-cutting was ineffective. Breakfast is a joke. However, staff are very welcoming and pleasant.

Easy to find. Lots of parking. Shell garage and Greggs next door which was handy. Really spacious clean room. Very welcoming which makes a huge difference!

Extra pillows upon request, near a bus stop, large comfortable rooms and friendly staff. There is also a Starbucks and greggs in the same complex. We phoned to request early check in which was convenient. Extra tea and coffee available at reception to take.

This place needs pulling down, looks like it’s had a lick of paint but the whole place was filthy corridors room and car park all needed a good clean . It smelt bad throughout the WiFi wasn’t working and the staff unable to help Wouldn’t come back if you paid me

Vile avoid at all cost room was filthy found toenails by the bed, went to reception asked to change room the receptionist was blunt and said they didn’t rent have any, asked for a refund this was refused also so we left out of pocket as did not want to sleep in filth

The bed was comfy, but the bathroom smelled mouldy, the bath was a slip hazard, things were broken or ripped, and the Wifi didn’t work. Staff were pleasant.

stayed at hellingly for my friends wedding , we stayed in a room facing the back looking over the fields and it was beautiful. room was clean and spacious and the staff was lovely arrival. i also love that the rooms have baths in. thank you for a lovely stay
