Our family of 4 stayed in a 2 bedroom condo for a week at the end of July. This review will be two part: resort and condo. Resort - The Cliff is in a fantastic location, close to the airport, restaurants, shopping, and beaches. It is very secure, check-in and out were simple, parking was easy, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Amenities such as the gym and indoor pool are well maintained and enjoyable. During our stay there was a lot of work being done to improve the resort - a new infinity pool is being built, and there was constant maintenance on the building - but neither bothered us because they show great attention to maintaining a high standard. We didn't eat on site (the menu wasn't to our tastes), but the food smelled wonderful each evening. The only glitch with the resort during our stay was that the elevator for our tower wasn't working, but management solved the problem quickly by opening another elevator for use. Condo - Our unit was on the 4th floor and had an incredible view. The water below was crystal clear, a sea turtle visited daily, and you could watch planes coming in and out of the airport. The unit was clean when we arrived, though it is in need of a full refurbishment (paint missing, appliances aged, balcony furniture worn, slip covers on couches, matresses have seen better days, etc.). It was well enough equipped with cleaning supplies, bath and beach towels, cooking implements and the like. Despite construction occuring at The Cliff and an adjacent property, the unit was very quiet. Snorkel equipment was available, though we ended up renting our own for high quality. There were two sets of better masks/snorkels and four sets that were quite cheap, but no fins. Our main issue was that the owner of our unit, while communicating that the outdoor pool would be under construction and offering a discount on our stay as a result (much appreciated), did not let us know that the beautiful beach would be inaccessible. By his own admission, he knew it was a possibility, but never communicated that to us. We found this to be misleading and unprofessional, as we could have canceled with a 100% refund two weeks prior to arrival and rebooked one of the neighboring resorts whose beaches were accessible. After expressing my concern over this issue, the owner ceased replies for the remainder of our stay. In addition, there was no response for two emails sent to the concierge for check-out procedures. We would absolutely return to The Cliff, but would stay in another unit managed by a different company.
