"The hotel is well located between the main train station and the central bus station, the city center is within easy walking distance, the beds are comfortable, and everyone is very friendly. However, there are several things to criticize: - Breakfast was adequate but not particularly varied. Scrambled eggs take on a whole new meaning here: the cheapest Tetra Pak eggs, completely overcooked and cut into cubes. - I had a room on the second floor of the annex, which wasn't indicated when booking this room, although it was for other bookable rooms. This meant I could easily mistake it for being in the main building. The annex has a separate entrance, and to get to breakfast, you have to walk about 50 meters in all kinds of weather to reach the main building. In addition, I had the pleasure of being without the elevator for almost two days, which was annoying (some might say that since the elevator was working again the next morning, the annex is like the unloved twin). - The room was relatively small, barely the 19 square meters stated in the description. The room's furnishings consisted of a television, two tiny bedside tables, a stool, an umbrella stand/trash can, and a supposedly queen-size bed. I don't know what the definition of a queen-size bed is in hotels, but two single beds pushed together with two mattresses is definitely not the queen-size bed promised in the description! Last but not least, the bathroom... It was so tiny you could practically do your business while brushing your teeth, and if you slipped getting out of the shower, you might even knock the sink over. In short, very, very small—it must be like being a chicken in a battery cage. ... I can only recommend that anyone wanting a room for a similar price should go to the Premiere Inn next door, where at least you get a decent room with a proper bathroom and a good breakfast."

"We spent a week at this superb hotel overlooking the beach at Travemunde. Our standard room was excellent with a good seating area, comfortable bed, Nespresso machine, fridge with some free soft drinks and a complimentary bottle of champagne. Breakfast was very good with decent buffet and good freshly prepared options. We had a first rate dinner there one night but Travemunde has good dining options. There is a good bar and outside terrace and seating on the lawns. The sauna area is good too and there is an indoor pool. The staff were generally very helpful and rooms were cleaned promptly each day. WiFi was fine and the TV had Sky News. We had a minor dispute over daily water for the room which was satisfactorily resolved. The hotel has its own ice cream cafe open during the day but it would be nice to have drinks and coffee on the terrace during the day too. But overall this was a great place to stay in an attractive North German resort."
