DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut Resort

Nice hotel, decent buffet breakfast. Location is very secluded and beach is good. Have to rely on hotel food. Nearest town is Manjung which is about half hour drive away. The in-room dine-in/hotel restaurant options are ok, but can be better. Ingredients quality and quantity in some of the meals can greatly be improved, considering its Hilton. We ordered Pizza and it was not great. Satay is hard and dry and so small size. Was told they recently changed menu but sadly it has changed to be worst. However, top-notch service from all employees. Pool is great. Rooms can consider providing additional bed on request even for the smaller rooms as space is adequate actually. The housekeeping staff provides service to convert the sofa into a mini bed as shown in the picture below. So sufficient for 2 adults and 2 small children. All in pleasant trip.

Everything is good and just the location is a bit far from the city of Sitiawan, Facilities wise it's a perfect and really kids friendly place due to the water park . The security guard did a good job 👍. They pay attention and alert so kids won't do dangerous things. Other than that, breakfast time has one security that will help customers to remove monkeys from stealing food. If not it is quite dangerous to have breakfast outside. Breakfast was perfect, variety of choices, salad part they not only western salad, they provide Thai style salad which is som tam, and local Malay Salad too. Food has kids in the area so kids can enjoy their pasta and also cereal food. Pastries have a variety of choices and they provide kuih too which is quite special. The room was comfortable and the shower room was also nice and we'll prepare for everything. They provide welcome drinks too. Beware the monkey 🐒 , monkey will jump and stole people food and they like it's know how to steal food from bag. When the room is better don't open the window if not monkeys will come in to steal food. The gym room is quite a small place but everything is well maintained. This gym room can enjoy seaview, this was a very good job. Overall I will come back again when I come to Sri Manjung.

Overall experience was great. Friendly staff, clean room, comfy bed. Location is at least 15km away from town, so not too convenient for outside food. Food was tasty, but not so fancy about flies even tho there are fans available to help keeping them away. Great for families with kids, as there are activities to keep them occupied.

I recently stayed at Damai Laut Resort in Lumut, Perak, and had a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. The resort is beautifully located by the sea, offering stunning sunset views and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a perfect escape from the city. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with a balcony that opened up to a lovely garden view. The resort also has great facilities, including a swimming pool with slides that our kids absolutely loved, a golf course, and a small beach area where we could relax and take photos. It’s a very family-friendly resort, with activities like a kids’ playground and even ATV rides available nearby. The staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay, which added to the pleasant experience. However, there are a few areas for improvement. The breakfast buffet, while decent, could offer more variety, especially for longer stays. Also, the access road to the resort is quite winding and would benefit from clearer signposting, particularly at night. The WiFi connection was also patchy in some parts of the resort. Despite these minor issues, we had a wonderful time overall and would definitely consider coming back for a short break by the sea.

Not so stroller friendly. But the hotel very clean. Swimming pool for kids and adult. Private beach.
