Whatever I am going to share below is called truth telling with love. Below feedback builds on my months of observation and experience at Latitude. This time, I would like to focus on the gym. This is my happy place, but it also brings too much drama. If the gym manager is around, then things go well, but if she is not at the hotel, then you need to chase people to find workable spaying bottles to clean gym equipment. Towels might not be there (no, not a single one) either, not even in the shower. So, I learned how to check the towels first. Hot water in the shower was another drama (however, after multiple cold showers and complaints, they finally fixed it, hope for long). Floors are often dirty with visible footsteps so, you literally breathe in someone's dirt while on a matt. If you are lucky, you might have healthy, diffused water with slices of fresh fruit. It was a nice idea to have this in the gym. However, when there is a yoga class or aerobics etc, gym guests become secondary, and this diffused water disappears from the gym and goes to yoga class. Chinese shop at the Eastpark mall sells those dispensers for around 800 kwacha, I trust you can afford two so that yoga and the gym have their own. Latitude is business, and for sure, it is income oriented. But, when gym space is small and you bring in way too many guests (to have more membership fees as an income), we literally have no space to breathe, let alone work out properly. No, I don't appreciate a feeling of being squeezed in a can of sardines. The worst part of all this is that I always flag those issues with the gym manager, and she always tries to fix them, but her voice does not seem be well heard or even listened to by the leadership above. This keeps vibe off ... unfortunately
