Campanile Lyon Centre - Gare Part Dieu

The location is fantastic. The hotel is right next to the Airport Express station, and the train station, subway, and Westfield mall are all within easy walking distance. The surrounding area is also quite peaceful. The room was compact, which is understandable. However, the service was a major letdown. Despite removing the 'do not change towels' sign, we had to retrieve clean towels ourselves on two separate nights. On another occasion, they inexplicably only provided one clean bath towel. It felt like a bizarre and inconvenient interpretation of 'environmentalism'.

Located directly opposite the train station, it's incredibly convenient for train travel. The hotel itself is modern and stylish with fresh decor. The service was friendly, and they even had a room ready for me ahead of time. My room was quiet and clean. Breakfast was 15 euros and offered good value for money, although they stopped serving quite early, at 9:30 AM. A kettle was provided, but when I wiped the inside of the lid with a tissue, I found it was full of stains, so I didn't feel comfortable using it.

The location of this hotel in Lyon is truly excellent. It's directly opposite the train station, just a 5-minute walk, which makes it incredibly convenient for catching a train or for late-night arrivals. The hotel itself is also quite pleasant, clean, and comfortable. However, the service was fairly standard, with no particular highlights. Overall, it's a very suitable stopover point for those in transit.
