My overall stay at this hotel was awesome. From the reception at the hotel to the cleaning lady who cleaned 9th floor the whole time i was there. Everything was awesome, had a really huge room, got a quite room, no smoking and away from the lift just as I wanted. Will surely recommend this hotel to others. They provide buses to and from the border gate which made it easier for a first timer. The dinner buffet….. a mist try if you staying at the hotel.
The hotel is under renovation but we didn’t hear any noise at any time. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and I really enjoyed the decor.
The location is also very convenient, close to shops, restaurants, and a short walk to the old town. We didn’t try the breakfast.
Gym and pool were also clean if a bit small. I would stay there again!
We booked 3 rooms of this category and they had to move us around due to the renovation noise. Not a problem though! I was on the 16th floor and the view was beautiful. The rooms are spacious and clean - having a cup of tea with the view was wonderful. The lifts are fast. The staff are very friendly and nice. They even ran down to the road to call us a taxi when there were none in the hotel. There’s a POPMART at the entrance of the hotel 😂 The housekeeping staff always made the bed beautifully and restocked my towels everyday. The pool area is beautiful and the hotel is well serviced by buses/taxis/walking. A pleasant stay - I wish it was longer.
Great value for the money
Has pool and gym
Staff was really nice, we got free fruit and even a bottle of wine for my girlfriends birthday (they didn’t have to do that because her bd was one day before our stay)
Nothing bad to say, everything was great
We had a good stay at Riviera Hotel Macau. The location is good, it’s quiet. Had a great view of the Macau Tower and walking distance to Our Lady of Penha church.
The room was clean and have all the basic nessesities for a comfortable stay. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed there for 6 nights and 6 days. they served same breakfast everyday. We didn’t mind at first but overtime, we started to crave variety. Eating the same thing everyday can become monotonous, even if it’s delicious. If would be nicer if they could serve breakfast with different dishes every other days.
Overall, we had a good stay.
Super organized room, very beautiful and comfortable, although I only stayed one night, I highly recommend this hotel and the service is incredible, everyone is very friendly.
Many many thanks to all the staff who did their utmost to make us feel good during our stay. Everything was really perfect, from check-in to checkout. The room was spacious and well decorated for our anniversary. We particularly liked their bar and the concept they developed for cocktails. The heated pool is beautiful, but the view is a bit obscured by the hotel building on the side.
Not enough check in/out counters. We ordered an extra bed room and need to request setup and supplies after check-in. Breakfast selection was limited and mostly cold food served, and the noodle bar could be more flexible to accommodate guest needs. Perhaps consider offering bacon as a start. Surprised a 5-star hotel doesn't have English movie channels. The 5/F dim sum restaurant was good. The staff were generally friendly.
Very good hotel in a good location. Room is quite large. Service is very good and all employees are very nice. Special recommendation the bar. Good cocktails and self made chips. Haven’t tried the breakfast in the hotel.
I must say, this is one of my best hotel in Macau ever in the Macau Island. I really love the sight we can see the view across the river, the transportation set up a very easy to follow instruction for people with live in the neighbour or as one of a traveller having a short trip in the community. All the facilities are very good to have, I love my room with an amazing view. I wish i can come back soon as a long stay guest. Seeya!

FFabinnOne of the most iconic buildings in Asian (one of the ugliest too??) with a great view over the lake from the room. A lot of options for foodies and the food quality was high. Service was good even before the holiday. However, if you are looking for a relaxing and zen holiday, this would not be ideal. The lobby is always packed; it looks like a train station. The interior design of the room... I am not capable of appreciating it (yet). Love the in-room steam shower very much.
AAnonymous UserPossible improvements:
1. There are so many mosquitoes. There are at least 10 big lumps on my hands and legs. They haven't gone away for two days. They are itchy and painful. If you are taking care of children, you must be careful.
2. The breakfast is relatively simple, with only one fixed Western-style breakfast, consisting of two eggs with a few side dishes.
3. The sound insulation of the room is not very good. It is close to the road and the sea, and sometimes you can hear the sound of ships and cars even when the door is closed.
4. It is already May, the temperature is nearly 30 degrees, the hotel swimming pool is still not open, and there is no explanation when booking. This has a certain negative impact on the relatively high room rate and the rare experience of staying here.
advantage:
The room itself is converted from a historical building, which is an unquestionable inherent advantage. It is within walking distance from A-Ma Temple. You can have afternoon tea in the courtyard. There are different price levels, and afternoon tea for two people costs around ¥400.
The hotel staff have positive review indicators on various platforms, but improving the soft power of service is the most important thing. Customers will naturally give objective and positive reviews. I hope the hotel will get better and better.
