Upon arrival the security team are friendly and very organised and willing to support. The hotels security is reassuring Housekeeping is at top notch_neatly arranged amenities... Upon entry to the hotel you meet a friendly customer care smiley lady Their WiFi is reliable, fast n strong The hotels ambience is elegant n soooo welcoming with beautiful decors, proper lighting.. The hotel is modern. The conference hall was exellent, the lights, fresh air and a beautiful view of the hills Their food is fresh n satisfying I would definitely recommend this hotel for business n leisure travellers.

Great ambience with very friendly staff. Clean rooms and hotel. Lovely and quiet place for the activities. I highly recommended it for visitors and all groups or organisations to visit and enjoy the services and good food. Thank you. Chris Muindi

Travelled for a work related non residential conference. The staff are very professional and quite courteous. We were surprised with a thank you card and cake from the hotel on our last day of the conference. Very serene environment, has wifi, adult and baby pool available. Hotel is accessible by matatu.

The Kyaka hotel situated very close to Nairobi is great for short business trips. The staff are very friendly and the food delicious thanks to the Chief chef Mr Paul Malinge. The rooms are clean and adequate space.

Went for dinner only. They don't serve any alcohol allegedly because the bar is undergoing renovation according to the waiter. Probably explains why I was the only customer in the restaurant at 9pm on Christmas eve. There were only 17 drinks in the coca cola fridge in the restaurant. Like like drinks isn't their main forte. Was told all food dishes take 30-45 minutes to prepare. Ordered the wet fry goat and roast potatoes. The goat meat was excellent and very tender! Would recommend it to anyone and will definitely go back for more when I'm next in Machakos, if they'll have reopened their bar. At KES 600 ($6) it's definitely a good deal.

Had planned for an overnight stay with my family (spouse and 2 kids 7&4), checked a couple of other places with "similar" standards and opted for The Kyaka Hotel, primarily the rooms smelt fresh and habitable, unlike the others that were musty. Also they had smart TV with free wifi connectivity. The staff from security through reception were warm, professional and welcoming. Couldn't get a room to accommodate all of us, checked out the apartments they had, but the rooms were decibel of better quality, opted to take two rooms (each of us taking one with 1 kid) As soon as we checked in, decided for the kids to shower, alas the water was cold took awhile to get that sorted, then it was only luke warm. Then tried to connect the TV, smart? Was unable to connect to the wifi. As we checked in were told to dial 0 for assistance. If only the phones in the rooms were working. Had to go down to the reception to have them address the issues, for the phone (started working later - no idea how) was given their mobile 📲 number to call. The showers, no curtain, so literally the whole bathroom was wet, including the toilet seat (should have put the lid on) so more work to dry the whole floor, in order to use the toilet and sink. Water is a bit hard, hence the soap doesn't lather well, the gel a must use. Ordered dinner, took awhile, kids were on edge being hungry. But I most say, amazing food, fresh and with flavor, worth the wait. Would I come back here, most definitely, the staff dedication to resolve the issues was commendable. It's not about a facility not having problems, they do happen, but it's about how best they resolve or try to resolve it.
