Crown Choice Inn & Suites Lakeview and Waterpark

Very dirty place, odd setup, no breakfast. Opened the mini fridge to find chocolate and dirty under the door. Same popsicle stick sat on the floor of the hallway for the 4 days we were there. The place does the bare minimum for maintenance and cleaning. Decent water park area for the kids

This place is awful. The floor was filthy it hadn’t been vacuumed or mopped. There was no rod for the toilet paper. The refrigerator/freezer had 1-2inches of ice. The top-sheets on our beds didn’t fit the bed. It took multiple times of asking to get them to vacuum and clean the floors. Our neighbors said that their room was the same and they would never come back, neither will we.

I don't know where to start. This place is disgusting, and I will never return! I stayed in the suite with one queen, one king, a pull-out couch, and a balcony with a seven-year-old and a two-year-old who likes to put everything in his mouth. Once we arrived, we used the bathroom after a long drive, then went to the water park. The water was greenish, and the chlorine levels were very high. The stairwell reeked of mold and mildew. My sister and her husband stayed in the pool area for only 15 minutes because they were coughing, and she is pregnant, so they returned to the room. After leaving, I saw black mold all over the doors, light fixtures, etc. We tried to ignore everything and go to dinner to calm down. Once I returned to my room, I noticed the floors hadn't been swept, and my two-year-old found the top of a juice container that we hadn't put under the sofa as well as half eaten chips under the night stand. There was what looked like dried boogers all over the wall. The counters had something stinky on them, so I started to clean them but stopped when we noticed the other messes. Something looked spilled on the couch, and there were food stains. There was black mold in the refrigerator and crumbs everywhere. I looked in a closet, and there was a hole with the covering just lying on the ground. I wish I had looked around when we first arrived because we would have addressed it then, but we had two kids eager to swim. My husband took many pictures, and we are reporting them to the health department because they need to learn to clean better. If you have young children, I wouldn't let them crawl on the hotel floor. We have been to many hotels and never had such a bad experience that we packed up and left. We talked to the receptionist, who could not have cared less. She said all they could do was change our room. If this is how they keep their rooms, I don't want another! This whole experience was horrible. I would not recommend this place to anyone! I will always read reviews before going anywhere.

Absolutely Terrible Experience – Avoid This Hotel My experience with this hotel was horrible before I even arrived. Due to unpredicted severe weather—including tornado alerts, an ice storm, and widespread power outages—I attempted to contact the hotel to cancel or reschedule. Their phones were down, and there was no alternative method provided to reach anyone about reservations, even under emergency circumstances. When I finally got through on Tuesday (the day before my reservation), I was put on hold repeatedly for over two hours. I could hear staff chatting in the background before being hung up on multiple times. When I eventually spoke with someone, I was told to call a different number if I wanted to “voice my opinion,” because the so-called manager had no time or valid explanation for their refusal to accommodate guests during a severe weather emergency. Upon arrival, while waiting in line to check in, the employee looked at me and asked if I was there to help with the rooms—clearly stereotyping me. That moment was offensive and completely unprofessional. The room, advertised as a “suite” with a kitchenette, was not properly cleaned and felt neglected. Even more concerning: there was no lock on the patio door—in a third-floor room. That’s a huge safety issue while having a toddler. The main reason I booked this hotel was for the water park, and that was another disappointment. It was disgusting and poorly maintained. Definitely not worth the price or the hassle. This was by far one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I will never return to this hotel and strongly encourage others to avoid it. Zero stars if I could.

Great customer service upon check in, with an overwhelming amount of people in the lobby, we got checked in early, signed waivers, got wrist bands. We were fully informed of everything from accommodations at the hotel to what’s available in the area for our children. Room was clean, waterpark was fun. The game room was fun and clean and we were provided plenty of change by the front desk. We had a weekend well spent. They are even working on updating everything as we’ve been here in the past plenty of times, and I see new things each time such as new flooring this time.

The elevator was not in service we were assigned a room on the third floor. When we arrived at the room noted poor housekeeping and broken screens in the windows. We were then sent to another room same result. We finally ended up going to another hotel same pricing much better accommodations. And we were charged for 2 nights lodging at Crown Choice as they would not refund.
