We were looking forward to our return to Radisson Blu Temple Bay, Mamallapuram after a positive experience in October 2024, but this visit was unfortunately a letdown across several aspects. Buggy Service: Buggy transportation, which is typically available within the property for both short and long distances, was surprisingly difficult to access. Despite having senior citizens with us, the staff was reluctant to send one, and it took multiple follow-ups to arrange even a short ride. Housekeeping: Room cleaning was not up to standard. Basic areas like the balcony were neglected and only cleaned after we specifically requested it. In-room Amenities: The complimentary fruit basket that usually comes with the room was not provided initially. It was only sent after multiple follow-ups. In-room Dining: Even a simple request like filter coffee took more than 45 minutes to be delivered to the room, reflecting poor service efficiency. Air Conditioning Issues: The AC unit was frustrating to deal with—it kept shutting off after reaching 22°C. Even after the technician attended to it, the issue continued. We were left with no comfortable setting—either sweltering heat (with non functional AC at night in 1 room) or freezing at 19–20°C (in the 2nd room). Food & Beverage: The food quality was subpar, and the service at restaurants was extremely slow. High Tea: The high tea spread was minimal, with the same items repeated daily. The live music during this time was loud, off-key, and far from relaxing. Billing: Service charges were added to the invoice without any clear communication. Overall, the service has seen a sharp decline compared to our previous stay. Attention to guest comfort and responsiveness was lacking across departments. Radisson Blu needs to seriously revisit its standards if it hopes to maintain its reputation and guest loyalty.
