Hotel Biokovo

We have just returned from Hotel Biokovo and it is definitely not a 4* hotel. The location is excellent on the harbour front within easy reach of the town and beach. Some sites suggest free parking at the hotel, this is not the case. It is €20 per night if available. So if you do have a car, factor this into the cost. We contacted the hotel twice by email before arrival to secure parking and to ask for an upgrade to a room with a balcony. Both emails were ignored. We upgraded on arrival (€20 a night) only to find the sun blind controller was missing in our room. In the heat the balcony cannot be used without a sun-blind. We asked about it in reception and as we were there for 10 days thought they might locate a new controller but no. We asked to move to a room where the sun canopy works but no. There are I believe 4 sea view rooms with sun canopy’s but only two work. There seems to be no provision in this hotel to get anything fixed that isn’t working. Our curtains kept falling off the rail but that wasn’t fixed either. The room (non smoking) had a strong smell of smoke which we also complained about to no avail. We overheard another guest at breakfast complaining of the smell of smoke in their room and I have since scrolled through the reviews and it seems a recurring theme.On arrival we had to ask for clean towels as the ones in the room were dirty. The towels have seen better days too. We contacted our holiday rep who tried to contact the hotel on our behalf who was also ignored. In summary this is nowhere near a 4* hotel.

Top floor room w view. Beautiful harbor and the night time is quiet.

I would choose again to stay at this hotel. Easy access to beach. Walkable to stores, bakery and dining places. Hotel is in the center at very busy place but is very on the safe and quiet place too. Excellent and helpful hotel staff.

Would rate as 2 star Very basic hotel definitely not a 4 star by any stretch of the imagination and for the price. Staff at check in very unfriendly and disinterested in guests. Bathroom in reception was filthy with waste bins overflowing. Room clean but basic and tired.

Godt tilfreds Fine værelser, god seng og fin standard. Meget store møbler på balkonen, kun plads til en stol og bord.

Terrible attitude Service staff, especially for the breakfast sessions are terrible. Waiters are yelling at the guests because guests were disappointed with the lack of food. this happened on the morning of 2nd January 2023.
