"Stayed here with a friend in June and absolutely loved it. The room was big, super clean, and had a private balcony with an amazing sea view—waves, stars, even a little chapel on an island. Total peace and privacy. We slept with the screen door open every night—no bugs, no AC needed: just the sound of the sea. The fridge was convenient, and in the pool bar drinks and meals are available. Staff was lovely, even served us a late meal when we arrived around midnight. Parking was easy, and it’s a great base for visiting spots like Sissi and the Minoan ruins. After exploring, we’d relax by the pool or garden—no loud music, just sea breeze. Malia’s restaurants are close by, and at walking distance. Just a small wish? A couple of hooks in the bathroom and a luggage stand would be handy. But that’s just nitpicking—this place is a gem."

"From the moment we entered the hotel it took us 15 minutes to even see a member of staff. When the manager came down to check us in he was EXTREMELY rude to the point I genuinely thought he could be putting on some sort of act or joke. I was there with 5 male friends and from the get go he began immediately insulting us and when we asked what his problem is he let us know he’s more than happy to immediately kick us out and keep our money. His attitude and behaviour was abysmal and by this point all we had done was walk into the hotel and wait ages to see someone. When anyone of us would attempt to speak to him he would tell us to “shut up or leave” and this was still whilst we were attempting to check in, this is when we called him out on his attitude and his threats were made. “You don’t like my attitude? Leave, f*ck off”. An absolute immature rude man-child, we are paying customers of your sh*tty hotel, at least give us a slither of respect. We noticed he would only ever do this to male customers and witnessed him acting the same way to other groups of lads. You could practically whisper in your room and he would come up and give you a noice complaint and threaten to kick you out. He needs to be shut down, fired and banned from working in any hospitality roles, it’s a shame because the actual hotel itself wasn’t bad but was completely spoiled by his constant rude immaturity"

"Newcastle Apartments enjoys a fantastic location on the edge of Malia Old Town. The property is close enough to all the restaurants, bars, and local attractions to be convenient, yet far enough away to provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The charming narrow streets, traditional buildings, and authentic Cretan character make it an ideal base for exploring the area with only a 25 min walk to the beach. The check-in process was straightforward, efficient, and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel at home. The hosts were friendly, informative, and happy to answer any questions, making the start of our holiday completely stress-free. For a studio the room was spacious and well laid out, providing plenty of room to relax. Storage was excellent, with ample wardrobe and drawer space to comfortably unpack and settle in, even for a longer stay. The room felt practical, comfortable, and well designed. Cleanliness throughout the property and complex as a whole was exceptional. The apartment was spotless on arrival and maintained to a good standard throughout our stay. The only real negative was that just one toilet roll was supplied for the entire week, so we had to buy our own replacements (€3 for 12 at the local shop). Given the quality of the accommodation, it would be nice to see this included for the duration of guests’ stays. Water pressure was consistently strong, and there was always plenty of hot water available regardless of the time of day. It’s a small detail, but one that makes a big difference when staying away from home. The pool area was clean, inviting, and a great place to spend time during the day. There were always plenty of sunbeds available, and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The pool bar offered a good selection of drinks, snacks and a variety of cooked food (breakfast / lunch / dinner) with excellent service that added to the overall enjoyment of the facilities. Overall, Newcastle Apartments exceeded expectations in every area. Combining an excellent location, spacious and clean accommodation, great facilities, and genuinely welcoming hosts, it provided everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in Malia Old Town. I would happily stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area."

"Golden Bay is a very nive place to stay. It is very quiet and not crowdy. Also Malia is nice little town. It is close to the sea (about 500 meters). And Akis (hotel manager) is a very nice person who can give you nice tips and helping if you need."

"يقع هذا الفندق في ماليه وله سهولة الوصول للتافير والنوادي الليليه والبارات. يتميز هذا الفندق بحسن التعامل مع النزلاء . يتوفر في الفندق عدد من الموظفين الذين يعملون بجد واجتهاد كبير وتعمل على تقديم المحاولة لراحة الضيوف . فندق لدية امكانيات محدوده . يوجد بالقرب منه مطاعم ممتازه وكافيهات ويتوفر حول الفندق مطاعم ممتازه. يوجد شاطئ بغرفة وصالة لكن يتوقع المرء أن يدفع أحد عشرة يورو لكل غرفة شرفات خاصة به. هناك أنشطة على الشاطئ (الباراجونة، الموز، ركوب ال sofa، إلخ، على متن زلاجات الطائرة)، كلها مكلفة، لأنها كلها مفتوحة على عامة الناس. لقد استمتعنا منطقة بركة صغيرة ولكنها محافظة بشكل جيد. هناك بركة ثانية للأطفال، ولكن ليس الكثير من الناس استعملها، ومن المؤسف أن وجبة الإفطار ضئيلة. يحتوي الفندق على حمام سباحة. يقع فندق شبكة صغيرة بالقرب من محطة القطار. يمكن الوصول إلى وسط المدينة في بضع دقائق. تحتوي جميع الغرف على مطبخ صغير. مجموعة من الأطباق تشمل دلاء، لوحات، ملاعق من السكاكين، الشوك، الخ. هناك مصاعد كافية. الإفطار لا يمكن أن يكون أفضل في أي وقت. يحتوي الفندق على مركز لبيع المشروبات والوجبات الخفيفة. أعتقد أن هذا يفتح في الليل لإدارة الأعمال. الفندق يعتبر متوسط المستويات والموقع جيد جدا . بالنسبه لموقعه فهو في وسط منطقه حيويه وجميله جدا . يوجد منطقه مطاعم . الفندق لاباس به فهو مريح جدا وغير معقول . المنطقة تغلق في اوقات الذروه ولذلك فإذا كانت تمطر العوائل سوف تكتمل الي الغرف او شاطي البحر . تم إبقاء منطقة المطعم نظيفة بشكل غير محدد وكان جهود الطبخ محدودة إلى حد ما وكان دائماً مجهزاً جيداً. في أي تسرب تم إزالته بسرعة. قام الضيوف بتنظيف طاولة خاصة بهم التي كانت جديدة بالنسبة لنا ، ولكن ربما هذا هو الشيء 3 نجوم. كانت الغرف نظيفة ومريحة. الموظفين ودية. الإفطار كان ممتازاً ، كنا نتوقع أن نأكل المزيد من الطعام بأسعار معقولة. كانت الغرف جيدة الحجم ، نظيفة حديثة. كان الموظفون دائما في الخدمة. كانت الغرف الحضور بشكل جيد ، وكان الموظفون دائما في عداد المفقودين وذات نية عالية. بشكل عام ، إذا كنت تبحث عن الشمس في اجواء ممتعة ولكنها مثيرة بتكلفة أولية معقولة ، فإن هذا هو المكان المناسب بالنسبة لك. تذكروا التكاليف الإضافية - تكييف الهواء، تغيير المناشف الشاطئ، أمن الغرفة والمشروبات من خلال البركة وما إلى ذلك."

"الفندق لطيف جدا، لم يتم إعطائنا الغرفة التي حجزناها ولكنهم قاموا بتصحيحها، غرفتنا كانت لطيفة ونظيفة وجيدة في المنطقة الخارجية، البركة كانت مذهلة منطقة سرير السناكس ممتازة ونظيفة استثنائية، الافطار كان ok، سيدة الفطور كانت محبوبة جدا، ليلاً رجل الأمن رائع ، موظف البار لطيف جداً ومهذب، زوجين من كبار السن الموظفين لطفاء بشعر شقراء وشاب مسن لم يكن ودوداً ، موظفات تنظيف الغرف محبين وودودين ، المشروبات كانت لا بأس بها ، الماكولات ليست جيده جداً ، كان الطعام لطيف للغاية وخاصة النادي sandwiches و الطهي مع البطاطس المقلية. عموما أنا سأعطيها 7/10 هناك مساحة للتحسين. لكننا استمتعنا بالإقامة!"

"لقد قضيت وقتا رائعا أنا وصديقين في هذا الفندق. أصحاب والموظفون جميعهم ودودون للغاية ومتساعدون. الفندق نفسه يعتني بحسن الضيافة والنظافة والغرف حجمها جيد وتحتوي على شرفة. يوجد بركتين سباحه حبتين مع كل حانه. الطعام بالبار مذهل والسعر مناسب جدا. كان الإفطار وفيرة وكثير من الأصناف. موقع رائع قريب من البلده القديمه وايضا الترام *** هناك محلات صغيرة بالقرب من المدخل الأساسي وسوبر ماركت كبير نزولا قليلا في الطريق. بالتأكيد سأبقى هنا مرة أخرى."
