Burgsdorf Guest Farm

Quite far from the civilization but not far enough to get there. Some parts of the way are tricky to drive when you are not going with a 4WD car as we've done. Nice view of animals living there (rhinoceros and gepards) and some other wild animals might come to the waterhole. As we got an upgrade in a newly built House the 2 nights there were really great!! The dinner is also recommendable!

Incredible location What an incredible place. I had my doubts as it was 10km from the nearest road, but well worth the visit. We were welcomed and quickly shown to our room which was suitably large. The dinner was superb and there was a brief 'introduction' to some of the animals on this huge estate just prior to our meal. It was lovely to be able to sit outside our room overlooking a floodlit lake at the end of the day. At 10 o'clock the main lights were turned off and the starlit sky was brilliant. I would certainly recommend this isolated location.

The bathrooms were clean and well-equipped with modern amenities. There are also a few separate chalets for those seeking more privacy or a more immersive farm experience. The unique touches, like handcrafted furniture, add to the character of the place. Food: The meals at Burgsdorf Guest Farm were one of the highlights of my stay. They offer hearty, home-cooked meals made from fresh, local ingredients—many sourced directly from the farm itself. The breakfast spread was generous, with fresh bread, eggs, and fruit, while the dinner menus often included traditional Namibian dishes like game meat and vegetables grown on-site. Dining here feels like you’re part of the family, as meals are often shared communally in a warm, welcoming dining area. Service: The service was outstanding. The owners and staff at Burgsdorf make you feel like you’re part of the family from the moment you arrive. Their hospitality is genuine, and they go out of their way to ensure guests have a memorable experience. Die kleine Farm ist nicht ganz leicht zu finden, da sie 10 km von der Hauptroute weg liegt. Zufahrt nur durch gesichertes Tor. Gemütliche Anlage mit Tieren in allernächster Nähe. Kleines, nettes Restaurant mit gemühtlicher Lounge. Alles sehr schön und sauber. Unser Zimmer allerdings war schon etwas älter und nicht sehr gemütlich. Ich glaube aber, es gibt dort auch sehr viel schönere und neuere Zimmer. Wir waren nur 1 Nacht hier und erhielten daher wohl ein älteres. Das angebotene Buffet hat uns gut geschmeckt.

Eine tolle Unterkunft mit der Möglichkeit, von der eigenen Terrasse aus Tiere am Wasserloch zu beobachten.

What a five star experience! Host Lien went all out! Very spacious clean rooms, with refreshments, clean bathrooms and Extra large bed with good bedding. Dinner and breakfast was delicious and service of staff exceptional. Lovely near to nature experience, with beautiful views. A must stay over (but try to stay more than one night)
