Apart from its superb location, what made my solo stay feel safe and joyful was the absolutely beautiful nature of the manager, Andrew. One can tell how genuinely interested Andrew is in his guest's wellbeing and comfort. I truly appreciated his kindness and friendly service and that charming personality that makes one want to return as a guest. I'm grateful 🙏 and I know I'll be going back soon to Sandy Bottoms Guesthouse for another peaceful solo getaway. New update: I returned to Sandy Bottoms on 8th Nov for 3 nights. This was not a holiday. This was because I needed to be alone and grieve my father's death which happened on Oct 30th. Andrew is an angel sent to earth to help people. Andrew treated me with immense kindness and generosity. I couldn't have gone to a more safer and kinder place for these three days of healing. The space that Andrew allocated so very generously for me was quiet and had allowed me to cry loudly if I needed to. I feel so very blessed for this entire experience of healing. Thank you dearest Andrew. May you forever be a guiding and helping light to souls who need kindness and compassion.

I stayed at the Sandy Bottoms Beach Guesthouse for 2 nights a week for almost 12 months up until April 2024, whilst I was working in Manly (I live about 2 hours south). The bedroom(s) and bathrooms were always clean. There were always clean towels made available and more blankets and or fans if needed. I always felt safe and importantly Andrew the manager, who apart from being a true gentlemen, was always willing be to flexible to the needs of his guests - provided that they treated it as a "guest" house and acted accordingly. For a well priced guest house accommodation in Manly Beach NSW you can't go wrong with the Sandy Bottoms Guesthouse! Thanks Andrew for making my extended(!) stay at your guesthouse such a great experience.

We had a wonderful time at Sandy Bottoms. We could see the ocean from our room. It was comfortable, clean & friendly and perfect for walking in & around Manly beach and city. The staff went out of their way to help us and make our stay enjoyable

I booked this house for a birthday weekend for my husband, we were joined by our son daughter in-law and 11 month old grandson. The house was exceptionally clean very welcoming with lots of extras ( tea coffee sugar biscuits milk butter bread and a lovely bottle of prosecco In the fridge). White crisp bed linen and white fluffy towel's It was definitely home from home. You can see the sea from the front door. A 1 minute walk to the beach. There was everything you could need and lots more. I want to tell everyone how amazing this house is but in a selfish way I don't as it will be booked up next time we want to visit Broadstairs. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in your beautiful house.

Filthy dirty, old hovel. The website made it look lovely but a nightmare in reality. Checked in on a Friday night. The room was very dirty and thick dust on the ceiling fan, no air conditioning. Being asthmatic I couldn't turn the fan on and it was a very hot night. My room was right near the front door and you could hear the front door slam every time someone came in at all hours of the night. The fridge leaked and there were holes punched in the walls. The communal kitchen had dirty plates and mugs and old food in the kitchen sink. Apparently the cleaner had been on that morning and couldn't be recalled till Monday. The shared bathroom had cracked tiles and as no bath mats were supplied the floor was very wet after anybody showered. If you're looking for a youth hostel or backpackers this would suit you down to the ground but otherwise check in to a motel.

Unpleasant, overpriced, depressing accomodation. Filthy bathrooms, broken toilets, rooms smell like cigarettes, dirty laundry dumped in the stairwell & terrible value for money. Planned to stay for 2 nights, but was so uncomfortable staying at this property & with the state of the bathrooms I checked out & chose to shower at the beach front. Excessive credit card surcharge & the managers have ignored my multiple requests to provide a receipt. DODGY!
