Elewana Sand River Masai Mara

Abbiamo alloggiato tre notti in questo splendido lodge … Posizione strategica di fronte al Sand River dove gli animali vengono la sera a ripararsi e che puoi ammirare direttamente dal tavolo della cena o dalla propria tenda … Il cibo e’ molto curato e buono .. Lo staff gentile … Joel ci ha fatto da guida tutti i giorni dalla mattina alla sera facendoci vivere delle bellissime esperienze … non si e’ arreso un attimo , ha cercato sempre di farci vedere animali diversi e in diverse situazioni … lo consiglierei a tutti .. una bella persona davvero … di cui non ci dimenticheremo facilmente … Grazie a tutti

On our safari we stayed at 5 different Elewana properties. Although the location of this one is great it was not our favorite. Our room was hot during the night. The patio/porch which overlooked the river was so hot you couldn't sit out. The outdoor shower, which I would have loved to use was unusable because you were told not to use it at night because of the bugs and during the day it was so hot that you couldn't touch the handles on the faucets. We were in room 12. It was in a. separate part of the camp. I think I would have enjoyed staying in the main camp more. Food was good. Our guide, Charles seems dot be preoccupied.

Possibly the best & only camp I could've ever stayed at! My husband and I booked a safari for our 10th Wedding Anniversary, and our one night Maasai Mara stay was at Elewana Sand River. Absolutely mind blowing experience! Our only regret is that we didn't get a chance to spend more time here. The camp itself was located right next to the Sand River, with multiple animals lounging around the bank, great location. The rooms were right out of a Safari Dream! Clean, spacious, with a colonial interior, and oh, the attention to detail! Everything was meticulously thought out, right down to hot water bottles nestled in the bed in order to provide you with a warm and cosy night. Sublime! Oh and the food! Possibly the best meals I've had on this trip - delicious dinner and a great lunch. The staff was so polite, warm and welcoming. We had the best night's stay here, and would 100% recommend it to everyone else looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay at Maasai Mara. Thank you to the management for making this an unforgettable stay for us!

Our trip to sand river was unmatched, Joel is the best guide we had during our trip to Kenya - he went above and beyond to help us see some of the craziest sites while in Safari. Would highly highly recommend! Collins was also a brilliant help during our stay - we loved being catered to by him.

Das Camp ist toll gelegen am Sand River, der gleichzeitig die Grenze zu Tansania ist. Wir waren in zwei Zelten im Little Sand River untergebracht, welches über ein eigenes Restaurant verfügt. Von dort aus toller Blick über den Fluss in die weite Savanne. Die Zelte sind überaus großzügig, luxuriös eingerichtet mit herrschaftlichem Mobiliar und mit Badewanne und Dusche mit großartigen Blick auf den Fluss. Außerdem liegen die Zelte relativ weit auseinander; das gibt noch mehr das Gefühl, mitten in der Wildnis zu sein. Der Housekeeper hält im Zelt gute Ordnung, überhaupt war das Personal überaus freundlich und aufmerksam insbesondere zu unseren Kindern. Wir haben Elewana gewählt, weil für unsere vier Kinder sehr faire Preisreduktionen angeboten wurden, das habe ich woanders so nicht gesehen. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und wieder bleibt das freundliche Servicepersonal in sehr guter Erinnerung. An Sylvester gab es keine größeren Feierlichkeiten, immerhin haben wir uns ein paar Drinks an der sehr ansprechenden Bar im anderen Teil des Camps genehmigt. Am nächsten Morgen sind wir mit unserem Guide Sam wieder los. Er wusste wirklich alles über die Tiere, Vögel und die Natur. Tolle Gamedrives! Die Landschaft um das Camp herum ist wie in Out of Africa, nur noch ein bisschen schöner… Das Camp ist sehr gepflegt und sehr gut geführt; wir haben auch die sehr freundliche General Managerin kennengelernt. Dieses Camp ist ein Traum und wenn man abends am Lagerfeuer sitzt, will man für immer hier bleiben…

This lodge was an extremely great experience for my family. Benjamin was our guide and he was amazing at finding good viewings, great scenic spots, and very insightful about the Masai Mara. Location in the south of Masai Mara is ideal as the north has a lot of cars and lodges and is much more crowded.
