Margate

Normally, a stay at Premier Inn is a great experience. As a family, we always choose Premier Inn. However, our room was unbearably hot and stuffy. There was a small fan but we didn't sleep very well and I have a sore throat. The breakfast buffet was the worst ever. The manager, Bonny, was incredibly rude. We were told there were no sausages, no fruit, no fruit salad, no pancakes, no yogurt, and no fruit juices. Only cordial. The cordial was so diluted it was mainly water. The bread basket was also empty. I went without as the cooked breakfast was inedible. I overheard Bonny talking about me with the chef Gary in the kitchen. Gary came out to look at me. I told him that I heard everything Bonny had said. He shrugged, and she didn’t care. The evening restaurant staff, in particular Hayden and Rosa were fantastic. Helpful and polite. They made the stay not too depressing.

Location is good. Other than that it wasn’t great. Room needs refurb, the whole place just felt a bit run down. The new bar / restaurant is like sitting in ikea. Nowhere relaxing to chill with a drink. Staff all looked unhappy and a couple of them were not very friendly, just liked barking rules. Breakfast was lacking some of the usual items. No OJ or apple juice. Coffee machine only served espresso or americano. They run out of certain items which meant a wait. Just not very well organised. I’ve been to many premier inns, this was the worst unfortunately.

Amazing bed, lovely room only downside the window didn't open for ventilation so room was stuffy and air con was too cold to leave on, lovely staff on arrival, didn't eat there as cheaper to eat elsewhere, great nights sleep, quiet room with no disturbance

the staff were very helpful and polite. The restaurant area was bright and clean. Newly refurbished. Breakfast very low on fruit, dry stale bread but toasted ok. Continental not refilled enough. Bedroom absolutely disgusting. When we opened the door to our room the smell hit us, damp stale smell very strong. We bought air fresheners but made no difference. Curtains hanging off the poles, couldn't drawer them properly. Air conditioning not working, no windows to open instead. Hair dryer did not work, but I bought my own with me just in case. Found socks and underwear in the drawers from the last customer staying in this room. Disgusting not the sort of thing you wish to find in your room when you arrive 408 was the worst room I have ever stayed in with Premier Inn.

Very disappointed with the overall attitude of the Lady Manager at check in at Premier Inn, Margate. She totally lacks Customer Service! Premier Inn should display a notice at reception till what time staff is permitted to charge £15/- as early check in fee, not charge a Customer just 53 minutes before check in time. Even though renovations are on, the hotel should allocate a space for luggage storage. This is required especially for Customers with Disability. Food was great! Waiting staff were very helpful. Room was clean.

Woken up in the middle of the night after the fire alarm went off. Couldn’t sleep again especially after the drunk people stayed outside our window making noise the rest of the night. One bath towel for 2 people was unacceptable. Good location, refurbishment looks promising but a lot of work to be done to increase guest satisfaction.
