Aegean Princess Apart Hotel

We booked this last minute with an incredibly cheap deal from Jet2. Our room was basic and a bit dated but spacious and cleaned every day and had a big balcony area. 2 sofas in the living area folded into beds for the kids. We paid £50 for A/c for 8 days which was necessary in the heat. Kitchenette area was fine for basic breakfasts and to make a sandwich for lunch but not really ‘self catering’. All staff were very friendly and helpful. They made a point of greeting you every day which was lovely. Sunbeds were in demand and folk would put towels out early, however there are loads of extras that staff will set up for you if you want one. Pool and bar area were very nice and clean. Bar prices were more expensive than regular restaurants in Marmaris but we were never charged any extras as some people say they have been. Kids enjoyed playing pool in the shade, which was about £3 for an hour. We ate breakfast the first day at hotel which was fine but probably not worth the £38 paid. There are restaurants/bars in the immediate area but these were loud and fairly awful ( apart from Mabel, which is a traditional Turkish restaurant was excellent) so we used the Dolmus (Blue) each day (30 tl each way) to go down to the marina/beach which was much more relaxed and chilled out. We ate at OYes at the harbour and Bono’s on the beach which were both fabulous. We also did a beautiful and really chilled boat trip with Poyraz Kaptan boat which was the highlight of the week. Overall, a cheap and cheerful holiday - really couldn’t fault the apartments as they do what they say on the tin! It’s not luxury, but for what we paid it was definitely an enjoyable break.

Greeted by the manager late at nite to tell us air conditioning is £65 for 9 days when on the jet 2 app states it is £35 a week when I asked he said had just changed air conditioning went off after 7 days hubby went down to ask why night staff had pocketed the money when confronted the manger had to turn it back on when we demanded they look at cameras says u get tv in room this is £10 per week or £15 for 2 weeks we payed £15 but tv went of on the 9th day at 12 even tho we asked because we payed for late room until 8pm when confronted we were just shrugged off there are people constantly sleeping in reception all night the pool Is not clean the kids pool is not even big enough to put an air bed in and big pool is to deep for little ones to play in glue sniffers in park opposite told staff and jet 2 lady was shrugged off rooms are very dated and grubby not equipped to go self catering unless u bring your equipment staff always lingering on for drinks and tips no entertainment for kids at all no atmosphere constantly having to ask for toilet roll this is not a hotel to go to if you are a family looking to relax with children there are no kids facilities for kids at all. Always check your bill at the bar or pay as u go these are never correct constantly asked by pushy staff to visit jewellery store to spend money my advise do not go and if u do go don’t complain u won’t get any where.

Sad having to write this I have been going to Aegean Princess for many years with my brother and his wife who have been going twice a year from 2021.What a change at the hotel this year was terrible no atmosphere at all.Went for breakfast 1st morning we arrived food totally disgusting scrambled egg with potatoe wedges .The hotel Just isn’t the same.Pool area not clean when we came down in the mornings people lying sleeping on sun beds not guests diving in pool at 4am playing football in the middle of night which I had to go down and ask them to stop.We stayed on 4th floor cleaners where brilliant.Onder the manager would go out of his way to help anyone.The young lad Omar was very friendly .We had met up year ago with friends who went same time twice a year who won’t be going back either .Definity we won’t
