"Hotel located outside the historic center of Matera completely new and is about 10 minutes from the center by car. Very kind staff: upon arrival at 6 in the morning Mr. Daniele welcomed us with great kindness already providing us with our room. Abundant and rich breakfast. Very clean rooms, elegant and equipped with every comfort. New swimming pool cared for in every detail. Recommended!"

"My daughter and I spent an absolutely wonderful two nights at the Sassi Hotel last week. We loved our room 503 with amazing views over the Sassi from the bedroom and bathroom windows! The beds were very comfy too and the air conditioning was good. It is a really lovely, quaint hotel built into the rock and is a brilliant location for visiting everywhere in Matera. Loved the bruschetta at breakfast. All the staff were very friendly too. We didn’t want to leave!!"

"Top location, very central. Nice and comfortable room but amenities reduced to a minimum (no paper tissues or body cream). Breakfast room small but adequate for the structure (only 9 rooms). For the rest, I would say, top. A note of merit to the guys at the reception who gave precious and very detailed tourist information (Giuseppe and Camilla). Everyone was very welcoming. Well done!"
