With the convenience of direct access or back mangrove waterways you’ll find adventurous use for Kayaks, Canoes, Jet Ski’s and Boating making it easy getting to Sanibel, Captiva, and Ussepa Island in less than 20 minutes by boat with direct access. Matlacha is infamous for being the best fishing in Sw Florida. You can fish right from the privacy of your dock or hire a private charter to pick you up right your backyard. Either way a catch is almost always guaranteed. The cottage comes equipped with an outdoor grill so you can sauté and grill those fresh catches. This cottage was completely remodeled, and can accommodate up to 8 guests with all accommodation living amenities thought of. Each bedroom features a new cozy queen bed and bamboo sheets. Master bedroom faces the water side. You cannot be any closer to the water unless you were sleeping on the dock. This fun home has a boat dock, bbq grill, therapy lights, white noise sound machines, video arcade game, wifi, usb outlets, a washer/dryer, ac, tv's board games and more. Your family will have FUN and not want to leave. The full 3 bathrooms are stocked with essentials like a hair dryer, shampoo's, soaps, towels, and detergents. Coffee & Tea is provided at the coffee/wine bar. This home is on a quiet street. Home sleeps up to 7 people. The 7th person would have an air mattress or couch. Please message if you need a 2nd home we have another beautiful one right next door. . Boat launch is 1/2 mile away and you can take your boat around to the back of the house and tie it to the dock. Fishing is great in Matlacha. Take your boat or a ferry ride to Cabbage Key for the world famous cheeseburger in paradise. Some of the restaurants on the island are Micelllis, CWFudge and ice cream, The Perfect Cup, Yucatán, Blue Dog, Kickstands, and Pho Grill just reopened. Grocery store is 1.5 miles away. For remote workers, we provide the highest-speed internet available with Xfinity and two Roku TVs. The dining nook is perfect for working remotely with amazing water views, and the kitchen features beautiful Brazilian quartzite, mimicking our shoreline. Every detail of this property reflects high-end craftsmanship, having been recently gutted and remodeled by a local craftsman artist.We highly recommend bringing your own kayaks or renting from Gulf Coast Kayaks. While a small shallow boat might be able to dock at our cement pad, we have not tried it yet.Fishing, dolphin watching, and bird watching off the dock are highly recommended, but swimming is not advised. Consider taking a day trip to Costa Maya from Pine Island for the best beach in the US, or explore other amazing beach options via ferries and tours departing from Pine Island and Matlacha.Please be aware that our dock was unfortunately destroyed by Hurricane Ian, and we hope to have it replaced in the future. Our patio space is shared with the other Matlacha Cottages and is also a "use at your own risk" amenity. Due to our location on these beautiful open waters, we must include this insurance verbiage.
