Boat rentals are available on Lake james and the host can provide that information if needed. On the wing off the kitchen is another small sitting area, the laundry room which has a double stack and another half bath. Take the stairs from here up to the bunk room, which the kids will love! The closest town is Marion on the McDowell side, and the City of Morganton on the Burke side. Both are up and coming with an active downtown where you can enjoy local shops, dining, breweries and wine shops. Other area attractions include: Biltmore House, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk are just an hour away.
