"As soon as I entered the room, I saw three jumping spiders crawling on the wall. How long has this room been unoccupied? The room was very damp, the walls and decorative paintings were peeling and moldy, and there was a cracked washbasin. I changed to a room facing the parking lot. The service attitude of this hotel is also very poor. The front desk will not answer the phone for more than ten minutes. The response of the hotel app is also very slow. There is no service awareness of a resort hotel at all!"

"أقامت زوجانا في سلسلة فنادق RIU لأول مرة. هذا فندق مذهل. عند تسجيل الوصول تم معاملةنا للشامبانيا وأعطونا غرفة حتى قبل وقت تسجيل الوصول الرسمي. أضف لذلك، أعطونا غرفة كبيرة نظيفة ومرتبة مع جميع الغرف، في نفس الوقت الذي حاولنا فيه الوصول إلى الغرفة. لقد أعجبنا حقا الاطلالة المريحة ومساحة الغرفة الواسعة ومنطقة الدش الكبيرة. المطعم يقدم مأكولات شهية لا يصدق، لقد استمتعنا بشكل خاص في اختيار jamon. أعجبنا أيضا طاولات الطعام الخاصة بك حيث يمكنك طهي الطعام بشكل عام وأكل الطعام لذيذ. الخدمة المهذبة من طرف النادلين الاكل لذيذ جداً استمتعنا بوقتنا الرائع للاسترخاء و نرغب في العوده الى هنا مره اخرى"

"We recently stayed at Riu Palace Meloneras and had a mixed experience. The biggest positive is the location. It’s excellent, with plenty of restaurants nearby and the promenade right next to the hotel, making it perfect for walks along the coast and exploring the area. The food was generally good with a decent selection, although I felt it was slightly below the standard I’ve experienced at other Riu hotels. One thing to be aware of is the atmosphere. During our stay, the hotel was largely occupied by German and Dutch pensioners, so it wasn’t particularly family-friendly or lively. By around 10:30 pm, the hotel became very quiet, which may suit some guests but wasn’t what we were looking for. The biggest disappointment was the sunbed situation. I’ve never had to wake up at 6:50 am on holiday just to reserve a sunbed. It felt like a daily competition, and it’s embarrassing that this seems to be accepted rather than managed by the hotel. Another major downside was the smoking policy. Smoking is actively permitted around the pool and swimming areas, which made relaxing difficult. As a non-smoker, I found it unpleasant and unhealthy, and it often made us leave the pool area sooner than we wanted. If you’re sensitive to cigarette smoke, this is definitely something to consider before booking. Finally, the cocktails were disappointing and lacked quality. I’d recommend ordering a simple spirit such as whisky or gin and mixing it with your preferred soft drink instead, as you’ll probably avoid a lot of disappointment. Overall, the fantastic location is the hotel’s strongest asset, but the sunbed competition, smoking around the pools, quiet atmosphere, and mediocre cocktails mean this wasn’t one of our favourite Riu experiences."
