Raffles Maldives Meradhoo Resort

Terrible butler service. No service actually.

Do not think. Just book it for paradise..

We visited this resort in March 2025 and we stayed 6 nights in a water villa. The resort is a bit far from Male (domestic flight + speed boat) but we were taken good care of once we landed in Male - Raffles staff helped us check in our domestic flight, provided us with access to vip lounge in both Male airport and the transfer airport. On our speed boat trip from the transfer airport to the resort, we were lucky and saw so many dolphins swimming and jumping right beside the speed boat with us - totally unbelievable. After we arrived at the resort, Nasiba, our butler, took great care of us and responded to all our questions and requests within minutes if not seconds. The room was huge, and very well maintained. We went snorkeling around the resorts and saw everything from sharks to turtles. Amanda, the marine biologist, was extremely knowledgeable and taught us a lot about marine life. Food was high quality and every single hotel staff we met was very very nice. Overall it's a very nice resort and we highly recommend it.

We had very high expectations after reading all the reviews and were delighted to have them all met or even exceeded! The resort is a true paradise both above and below the water. The overwater villas were spectacular and enormous and all the staff went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant and stress free as possible. We celebrated our wedding anniversary there with complimentary champagne and cake and the staff helped my daughters set up an early birthday celebration for my wife. Nothing was too much trouble thanks to the amazing Shane, the F&B manager. Yasru, our butler, made things happen all the time as did many of the other F&B staff like Munawa, Muzu, Vishak, Azin, Hashini and many more. Would come back in a heartbeat!

This was a bucket list and so glad we selected Raffles as the location! The resort was beautiful, food tasty & excellent service from all the staff who was so pleasant at all times…..and the rooms are in a class of their own! Everyone was so very kind and attentive, especially our butler, Nasiba, who was always available and willing to help with any requests. She also put together lovely surprises commemorating special occasions we were celebrating. The resort is a bit further from the airport from other resorts, but worth the trip!

It's such a nice place. It was a comfortable and happy five days. Butler Nattu and all the staff were kind. I used a sunken dinner, spa, and floating breakfast service, and this was also so good. And most of all, I was happy to see the turtle! The underwater environment of Raffles is really the best!! The restaurant has a very good view and you must experience Firefit! The grilled food is great!! Take a good rest.
