The resort is outdated and tired. Staff is apathetic. Overall, very disappointing experience considering our room was over $500/night. The decor in the rooms is outdated. Service was poor. Housekeeping made up our room, but neglected to leave clean towels and washcloths. We had to call to have them delivered. At breakfast, we had to hunt someone down for coffee. When they brought coffee, they didn’t bother to bring or offer cream or sugar. On two occasions in the restaurant, one of us had no napkins and/or no or missing pieces of cutlery. Breakfast was very limited and the food that was there wasn’t great. Empty platters weren’t refilled on the buffet. At dinner, we were ignored for 15 minutes when there were at most four occupied tables in the restaurant. My husband ordered a steak entree that was nearly $60. It was accompanied by plain boiled vegetables and frozen french fries. The server recommended the Korean ribs which I took. They were mostly gristle and fat and largely inedible for $40. My husband’s entree arrived at least 20 minutes before mine. I told him to eat his food while it was hot. By the time my food arrived (after asking twice where it was), my husband had already finished his meal. The one bright spot was lunch at the beach bar. The sliders were hot and delicious. The bartender, Heather, was efficient, friendly and a delight. She also made great drinks!! At the $500+/night price point, I expect a certain level of food and service and this property struck out on both.
