Booked this place for a small family gathering (6 people) to celebrate a birthday. Age range 14 yrs to 65 yrs; 3 night stay. Easy to find; ample parking. Relaxed check-in and check-out. Beautiful building, but def not disabled friendly - lots of steps and stairs/changes of level/uneven floors. Overall impression is a vacant hotel set up for separate guests - I was expecting a more intimate environment and with a bit of tweaking, I think it could be just that. The dining area has got a lovely, long table, but the room is arranged for what looks like breakfast service. Commercial kitchen, not at all user friendly and frankly a bit grubby in places, not great for a self-catering stay. Only 2 of the bedrooms we used had full-length mirrors. Lack of bathroom shelves for toiletries etc. Towels too small and too few - for the money I paid I'd expect a bath sheet plus another towel. CD player in the bar area was ancient and not BluTooth compatable.
