Crossing Manzoni

Spent 3 nights in Milan, staying at Crossing Manzoni the whole time. Truly a beautiful experience. The property is perfectly located next to Teatro Scala with easy access to the Brera district. We took a train and then one metro switch to get to the property (~70 minutes end to end, ~$15 each) and then walked nearly everywhere the rest of the time. The property is more a set of rooms in a guest house than classic hotel. And we loved that. Felt more private and connected to living in Milan. FWIW - the guest house means there’s no gym or breakfast but there was cleaning service and a little lounge for tea and drinks. Sean messaged us upon booking and then met us upon arrival. Truly great service - he gave us recommends for sites and food and helped us get situated. We had him on WhatsApp in case there were any questions. Lastly - the property has ~4 rooms on the second floor and 2 rooms on the first floor (a level above ground level). We opted for a room on the first floor because it was a little more private. It was amazing. Beautiful architecture, nice light, comfortable bed and pillow, and felt larger than a typical hotel room. Highly recommend!!!

Really great place. Simple things done very well with very personal service. A lovely room with a very comfortable bed, a sauna shower which was surprisingly brilliant and a great location next to La Scala. Mostly though, great service from Sean who made brilliant recommendations, great coffee and couldn’t have done more to make our stay amazing. Thank you.

Housed in an apartment building, Crossing Manzoni is really an apartment within the building that has been converted to a hotel. The rooms were well appointed and well considered. There was plenty of storage space and a room safe. Sean, the manager on-site was excellent. There was great communication leading up to our arrival and Sean responded to any questions or requests quickly. Suggestions for improvement: offer non-dairy milk in their fridge for their coffee and offer some fruit, nuts or something more healthy than the biscuits for snacking. Inquire about a guests allergens/sensitivies before spraying fragrance in the rooms as part of housekeeping. The location is excellent - right in the heard to explore cultural sites such as the Duomo and museums as well as the shopping!! With some minor improvements, this could definitely be a home away from home!!

Wonderful Contemporary Hotel in Central Milan Crossing Manzoni is a fantastic place stay in the centre of Milan. Only 5 minutes walk from the Duomo and close to metro and tram lines in the city. The room was absolutely fantastic, contemporary look without compromising on comfort. The most comfortable bed and bedding I've experienced in any place away from home. The shower room was wonderful and lovely products available to use. We were also fortunate enough to have a walk in wardrobe. Espresso machine, milk frother and mini bar are available to use thoughout your stay which is an absolutely fantastic bonus. But most importantly Sean and Max were both amazing, we got a tour of the reception areas and the controls within our room. They are always on hand should you need any help with your apartment or outwith l, Sean organised a wonderful dinner reservation for us in Milan on a busy Saturday night. Thank you Sean and Max, I would highly recommend Crossing Manzoni to anyone planning a trip to Milan.

Crossing Manzoni was one of the nicest apartments I’ve stayed in. I was immediately struck by the friendly staff being very professional, friendly and extremely helpful throughout my stay. They always greeted and welcomed me each time I saw them. The room and hotel was immaculate and very comfortable. Light, airy and very spacious…a very welcoming atmosphere.The room was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials and well thought out design and amenities and I loved the convenient location close to major attractions. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to anyone looking at staying in Milan. I will be back to your hotel next time I’m in Milan.

I booked a room at Crossing Manzoni based on the wonderful reviews. I'm an artist and appreciate beautiful design. Sadly, I did not have a good experience there. It is lovely, quiet, the bed and linens super comfortable and my room was decorated in what I'd call a minimalist contemporary style. My room shared a little lounge with coffee, tea, Milanese biscuits, water, and a microwave. The location is great, steps from the cathedral, the galleria and Rinascente. However for me, a woman traveling alone in an unfamiliar city, with only slight knowledge of Italian, it was the wrong choice. The website says the concierge is only there during business hours- I didn't realize that absolutely no one is there before 8:30 or after 6:30. Sean, the concierge who wrote me lovely emails, was not there during my short stay, but Sabrina helped me find a great restaurant and booked a taxi for me for my morning flight. I had to leave at 7:30 AM so I was on my own getting downstairs and outside but because I was concerned about the taxi showing up she gave me her cell phone number, which I appreciated. Little things like the key to the room not working well and a giant crack in the full length mirror, gave me the impression that some things are not well attended to. I don't normally write negative reviews but I honestly wish I had stayed somewhere that would have been more full service and I think potential guests should consider whether they want to stay in what is really more of a beautiful apartment.
