Best Millbrae Hotels

"The neighborhood of the hotel is not so great, but the staff was polite. The room was extremely noise, even with quadraple layers of windows. I asked to switch to a quite room, but was told that the hotel has been fully booked. If you are a light sleeper, this is definitely not a good fit. I would not book it again."

"The hotel is in a good location, not far from the BART station. There is also a shopping plaza nearby with various restaurants. Rooms are larger in size. The only downside is that there is no refrigerator in the room, so you can't store food that needs to be refrigerated."

"Clean, comfortable with good lighting. Got a room on the second floor, the view is at the corridor outside the room which overlooks the parking area. Walls are thin so one can hear muffled conversation, toilet sounds, and the tv. Microwave and fridge were useful. About 8-10 minute walk to Milbrae Trader Joe’s, Safeway, Walgreens and an $8 Uber ride in the other direction to Shops at Tanforan (Marshall’s, Target, BJs sports bar). Good base at The Millwood to do all I needed to over the 2-night stay. $13 uber ride back to the airport; From the airport: took the BART to Milbrae ($5.50) then an $8 uber ride to hotel. I thought a $30 uber ride from airport too excessive for a solo traveler."

"The stay was great considering the close distance between SFO and the Hotel. The Hotel accepted early checkin with a small fee. It us a gesture as traveler might fly in early and need to freshen up before going thru the business."

"Great location with vast variety of food along the street (Chinese food, Japanese food, etc...). Although it has been around for a long time, yet the hotel is well maintained"

"It’s a hotel good for layover. Is just 5 mins from Airport. Checked in is pretty fast. Hotel provides free shuttle service to airport. In terms of getting food near hotel. It is not very convenient. Can walk about 10 - 15 mins to nearest eating place. Is ok if it’s good weather, on a rainy day, then 10 mins felt like a long time. There are fast food burger place, a Chinese fast food place and a bakery. If want more options may need to walk another 15 mins. Hotel lobby has a machine that sells hot food.  Room is big, have coffee machine and a bottle of mineral water provided. If for light sleeper, can hear planes preparing to take off. The runway is literally across the road. Airport shuttles leave 4 times a day. Only takes 5-10 mins to reach airport terminal. Overall the hotel is ok."

"The room was nice and had a mini-kitchen. The property is newer and is well-maintained. Great location, walking distance to the BART station, convenience stores, and restaurants. Only two minor issues: 1. The don’t offer free water beyond the first 2 they give you at check-in. You have to buy or bring more. 2. Their point of sale is not set up to bypass PIN codes for overseas credit cards, so we had to switch the method of payment, which was inconvenient. Beyond that, the staff was friendly and we would stay there again."

"We stayed here after our Alaskan cruise because we had a 7:30 flight the next morning. The room was great, the location was great and the restaurant was good but we weren't that hungry so we had a light dinner and went to bed early. Great little place."

"Very good location! Clean and big room. Breakfast is decent.Service from front desk is very good. We could leave luggage in the hotel for the whole day . Also there is no room cleaning till the 3rd day."

"The facilities and hygiene were similar to expectations, but the airport shuttle bus was terrible! The distance was less than 5 kilometers, which should only take a few minutes, but the hotel front desk said it would take ten minutes. In the end, we went to many other hotels to pick people up, and ran to 6 hotels. It took half an hour to get to the airport. People who are in a hurry should be careful. The driver asked for a tip. It took half an hour to travel a few minutes, and I didn't even want to give him a tip."
