Kira's Boutique Hotel

When I travel I like to stay at locally owned hotels and this is one of the best I have ever stayed in. Isabel grew up in this house and it is full of delightful small touches and very attractive decor. She is a great host who always makes warm and direct contact with guests and makes them feel cared for. The staff is extremely attentive and security is guaranteed. It makes me happy to support not only local businesses but those which are run by local women with excellent and smart business sense. I won't stay anywhere else in Sao Vicente except Kira's. Order a bottle of white wine from the volcanic slopes of Fogo Island, delightfully chilled and enjoy it on the rooftop gazebo!

Bel hôtel très bien situé à Mindelo Les chambres sont grandes et confortables dans le style colonial, le petit déjeuner buffet est simple mais très bon à base de produits frais faits maison. Un joli patio et un roof top agrémentent l’endroit si besoin. L’accueil est à l’image du Cap-Vert : souriant et chaleureux !

I booked this hotel at the last minute, having been let down by Cabo Verde Airlines how made me miss the ferry. I was given a spacious upstairs room. Although there was no lift, a porter carried my bag up. The wi-fi worked. Room was clean. The location of the hotel is central with easy access to plenty of eateries. Breakfast was of good quality. I'd go again.
