Villa Océane

We have just finished a 3 night stay at Villa Oceane and did not want to leave! The staff make this place feel like home from the moment you arrive - they simply cannot do enough for you. The homely environment they have created is something very special, right on the water, with the waves sending you to sleep soundly every night! We cannot rate Villa Oceane highly enough and a huge thank you to the staff for our final few days in Sri Lanka so special!

The place is perfectly located on the coast, and you can see sunrises and sunsets. Pool area is a delight and a wonderful place to enjoy watching the ocean, The staff are very impressive and always willing to help. This is the best accommodation in the area that we saw. Highly recommended.

A really memorable stay for me. The villa is just so peaceful and well maintained. Staff are courteous and they take care of you really well. The food is great and the rooms are amazing. The bathrooms also very clean. (Had a leaking bidet in my bathroom though which should be fixed soon) The view from the room and the closeness to the sea is something you cannot imagine, it’s like your living on the sea. We moved to a big hotel post staying at this place and just did not enjoy the hotel as much, because we were missing staying at this villa as much! Book this villa for the maximum days instead of moving around hotels, all the nearby places(Weligama, Mirissa, Ahangama, Hikkaduwa) you can travel and come back within a day considering the proximity. Met the owner too, who is a gem of a person. Hope to come back soon

I’m lying on my sun lounger at this Villa whilst writing my review. Everything people say about this place is worth repeating. Only 5 rooms which are immaculate and spotless. When you arrive you are told that everything here is possible and to treat it as your home. Breakfast and dinner served on your balcony, on the grass area, by the pool anywhere you want. The staff are like Nijas they appear and disappear. The place is so clean and well tended to. They are a fabulous team, very kind, caring and attentive. I must touch on the food also, the grey mullet, the tiger prawns are to die for if you like fish. Come and experience how wonderful this place is, you have to like the sound of crashing waves 24/7 though but it’s better than traffic!!

We had an amazing stay at Villa Oceane. It’s a very cosy, intimate hotel with amazing pool area overlooking the water. The staff were amazingly hospitable - we were made to feel very special and well looked after. It’s a brilliant place to stay to properly relax and it’s close to some nice bars and restaurants.

We had the most fabulous stay at Villa Océane in Mirissa, so much we extended our stay! The villa and room were beautiful, so peaceful with the view and sound of the sea. But above all the team was so amazing, so attentive and kind, and we were always welcomed with big smiles! They organised everything for us: a whale watching tour, day out in Galle, transfer to the airport etc. and always made sure had everything we needed. I wished we could have stayed longer, I couldn't have dreamed of a better place to end our travels in Sri Lanka. The delicious breakfast was served on the balcony in front of our room with view of the sea, a real treat! It's also ideally located away from the hustle and bustle, but only a few minutes walk away from nice cafés and the Dr's House and Polhena beach, and a 5min tuk tuk ride to Mirissa beach. You can also watch the turtles poking their heads out for air on the beach in front of the hotel, as well as the surfers, and beautiful sunsets. Thank you so much for the amazing stay!
