Stayed here for two nights with our tour group. What a great place! We were in a bungalow/chalet up from the main walkway. Spacious room with a double bed, mozzie net, day bed, fridge, tea and coffee, a wooden hanging section. Bathroom en suite, small but perfectly formed with hot water. The best thing was the balcony with sea views. The room was quiet, private and spotlessly clean - slept so well here! Be aware that the peacocks like to come onto the balcony in the morning and you might be woken by them pecking on your balcony window! The restaurant has splendid sunset views. The food is really good too! have no idea how such a small kitchen got 10 meals out on time! Devilled prawns very good! We got washing done here, which is a handy service; take it to reception and fill in form itemising what you are leaving. Ours was back by the next evening and ready to put back in our case. There is a water dispenser in reception too. The bonus of being able to use the pool at the sister hotel (that is the one in the picture btw) just made the stay! You wander down, show your card and can use the sunbeds with one of their towels! Obviously be prepared to buy a drink! It really is a fabulous pool, right on the beach! You do need to know that the hotel itself is at the top of a short but steep bank; so although you can walk in and out of Mirissa town from here and the distance isn't much you have to put a bit of effort into the last push onto the hotel grounds! We really loved this hotel.

Check in for our group was quick. Room was massive with a Mosquito net. Good sized bathroom though strange not to have door for shower cubicle so often made floor wet. Tea and coffee facilities inc fridge. Balcony but overlooked hill rather than the sea. Told pool was out of action but could use partner hotel 400m away. Breakfast was decent enough inc fresh cooked eggs. Great view for the sunset. Lots of peacocks. It's up a steep hill however.

Our trip was very last minute due to some issues but omg it turn out to be one of the best experiences. We want to thank the Palace Mirissa and all great people who work there for our stay, it was wonderful. We loved our room, (and think that it was the best one)) and thank you very much for helping us to extend our stay for whole time in same exact room), the view was breathtaking. Every morning we was visited by peacocks, it was so cute. Breakfast is amazing and so full, also tasty just like homemade food. The pool is so nice, deep side and kids side, so thoughtful (one downfall though: some tiles are sharp, we did cut our fingers a little bit, however still continued to swim on other days). Great addition is the ability to also use Paradise beach club, oh wow, great location, fantastic beach, everything very comfortable and accessible. The most i appreciate is the natural beauty and respect to it at this hotel, we meet/saw monkeys, chipmunks, peacocks, parrots, turtles, dragonflies and fireflies, big and small lizards just outside the room. It was magical. Already miss the place, we will visit next or this year i hope. Have great time!

We stayed 2 nights as part of a group tour. Accommodation is in self contained bungalows dotted around a large garden area on the high ground overlooking Marissa Beach. Aircon is good, the bungalow is spacious and modern with a comfy bed and well appointed bathroom. Breakfast is yummy with an on hand chef to cook eggs etc as you like them. Staff are very helpful. I recommend being at the bar come sunset to soak up some incredible views from the outside lawn. The barman is a great guy and will keep your beer topped up!

We loved this hotel. We came as part of a cycle tour with our family of five (older teenage kids). Friendly welcome, kids really enjoyed the welcome drink). The rooms were amazing! Two story bungalows with a painted ceiling! Breakfast was probably the best we’ve had, such attentive staff going out of their way to help. Small pool on site but we went to the sister hotel and used the larger pool and sun loungers backing into the beach. Laundry service worked well for us. Literally all of the staff friendly and welcoming. Thankyou!

We stayed at The Palace as part of an Intrepid Cycling Tour. I had been told that we were staying at The Paradise Beach Club but it turns out this is a sister hotel, where we could use facilities. In the event, we all agreed we were glad to be staying at The Palace rather than The Paradise Beach Club - though access to the facilities at the Paradise Beach Club (larger pool, table service, next to the beach, Ayurvedic spa etc) was super-handy. Strong Positives: 1. The rooms. Our room had an ocean view. It was basically a large, spacious, self-contained hut with gorgeous ceiling art, a 4-poster bed with mosquito nets, and a gorgeous veranda. We were only here 2 nights and it was just lovely being woken by a peacock strutting outside, a monkey scampering across the roof, and being able to have tea (provided in the room) whilst watching woodpeckers, chipmunks and other birds. 2. The breakfast. There’s a room adjacent to the pool where breakfast is served. There are some outdoor tables too. The omelette was excellent (the best I had in Sri Lanka) and the range of buffet items was good. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. 3. The location. The Palace is ideally situated at the end of Mirissa beach. There’s a lovely bar (called Oh La La) which is adjacent to the entrance drive, there’s a great surfing school (Chuty’s), the beach is seconds away from the entrance or, if you turn left, you can walk into town and find ATMs, shops etc. As I say, we were able to access facilities at The Paradise Beach (PBC) Club, and this was very handy as the PBC is basically on the beach and offers additional services like table service etc. Things to note: 1. If you have access or mobility issues, you may find The Palace rather challenging. There’s a really steep drive-way up to the reception. It’s only about 100m long but it’s an intimidating gradient. We’re both fit but even we couldn’t face climbing it on the first evening. Thankfully a Tuk-Tuk did the work for us. Apart from the steep drive, there are a fair few stairs to get to your rooms. The huts and rooms are located in tiers which makes for charming little paths but does involve a few steps. 2. The electrics in our room were a challenge. There’s a range of sockets but the only one we could find that would charge our phones was in the bathroom. It crackled, and had a tendency to stop charging if it wasn’t in exactly the right position. Not sure if that was just our room or a more general issue with the wiring. Overall we had a fantastic stay at The Palace and would definitely stay here again.

everything was really awful the pool is dirty the room itself is so dirty and loud because all the nightlife next to the hotel you cannot sleep from 11:00 pm-4:30 am i was with my dad and sister and we could not sleep 😭 I felt very bad the room has a very bad interior which looks like a dirty cave. it is cold and dirty and sticky floor the bathroom is dirty and i could not take a shower because is so dirty and no hot water and i tried to minimize my entrance to it overall it was very bad experience and bad choice and i do not recommend this place the pool is so awful and dirty and does not match the picture the breakfast was very decent there was someone cooking without gloves with very dirty nails

Spacious beach hut style accommodation set in lovely grounds where peacocks roam freely. You can see the beach from the hotel, and it’s an easy downhill walk to reach. But be warned - it does take a fair bit of effort to climb back up, especially after a few Pina Colada’s! I thought the accommodation was gorgeous; really spacious room, comfortable bed, and a good shower. Wifi works well in the rooms, and you have a lovely balcony to relax on. Breakfast was great, and we also had dinner here one evening, which was also good. My only negative comment would be the noise coming from (I believe) bars on the beach - which goes on until around 2 or 3am. Thankfully I was exhausted, so I just left the tv on for a while to drown out the music and I quickly fell asleep. Light sleepers might need earplugs.
