"A pleasant hotel with view of the Yoshino River and a blue bridge. The gentleman who received us was very friendly and approachable. He spoke very good English. He even felt sorry for our Blue Jays lost to the Dodgers in the World Series. The hotel was built by the hillside. The floor levels seemed to be staggered, so some floors could not accessed by elevator. We did not have issue with that. But if you have mobility problem, make sure you ask for a room that can be accessed by elevator. The room was pretty large. The windows overlooking the river with a nice view of the Shikinoue Bridge. The breakfast was pre-order the night before. Choice between western or Japanese. The lady who served us breakfast was also very sweet and hospitable. We picked this hotel for its proximity to the Oboke Gorge and the Iya Valley Vine Bridge. And we did manage to get there before the crowd landed."

"I stayed here during a solo cycling tour. It has a cheerful, Japanese feel to it. The guests were eclectic and fun to talk to. The room was simple and clean. The food was excellent. It was terrific value. There were also kind enough to store my bike on the premises overnight. Highly recommend."

"My husband and I are both 70yo from Australia. We had a wonderful experience. Our room was traditional, large and comfortable. Having use of a Onsen on-site was a bonus, robes provided aswell. Our Japanese breakfast, our first was delicious. The lady owner was very kind and helpful. No Japanese for us and no English for her, google translate got us both through. Highly recommended."

"Close to train station a few minutes away. Nearby many restaurants with covered walkway. Only 5 minutes to a big supermarket. The room is big for a small family and certainly big for couple. They have onsen room for bathing and heater which come handy during our stay below 10 degrees of temperature. Buses and trains are convenient to move around to tourist sites.. While we were away, the host will leave biscuits and titbits for our 3 nights stay."

"Very natural vibe around the hotel and 3 min driving to the vine bridge. Dinner is amazing and a beautiful outdoor public onsen, which is located on the top of the small hill and you can even take a cable car to get there! Great view and great food, the owner really showed so much care and does her business well. Mountain view from the room and the light on the street is just beautiful. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel service is beyond my expectation for a business hotel. I was staying here since the weather situation so I had to stay at awa-ikeda for one more day, and this one looked reasonable for its location and price. After I booked, I went to the hotel about 10am, to drop my bag and folding bicycle. The staff was extremely accommodating my request. When Incame back in the afternoon (still earlier than the checkin time), sitting in the lobby, playing with my phone. After a while, the staff told me the room was ready. All staff members are extremely good and willing to help."
