Maistra Select Mlini Villas and Apartments

Amazing stay with a beautiful seaview, and great staff who are always happy to help. We will definitely be back.

Had a wonderful 5 night stay. Went with my son, he had a superior apartment and I had a premium side view villa. Really clean, spacious and confortable, comfy beds and pillows (I am very particular about pillows and these were lovely and comfy). Great view of the sea and nice to hear lapping of waves as you fall asleep. These are situated in an ideal location, with a coastal path to walk along where there are plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes to choose from. We had breakfast included which was at the Oleander restaurant on the beach front and it was excellent. Fresh fruit platter every day, bread basket, croissants, jams etc, juices and a hot menu to choose from too. Our waitress Sobrena was fantastic. About 100 yards from Hotel Asterea you can get a water taxi to the lovely village of Cavtat - well worth a trip and also to Dubrovnik where we went twice. Would recommend getting a day pass there for 40 euros which allows entrance onto the city walls, Rectors Palace, Franciscan monastery and other attractions. It is rather expensive to eat out but food quality is good. Would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely beach side apartment A lovely stay in one of the premium beachside apartments. Apartment was well kitted out for our stay with stunning views across the sea. The cleaning could have been better after finding blood stains on the bedding. Also a hot water tank that only accommodates one bath was a little frustrating but not a huge issue. Check in was a little chaotic having a separate check in desk for the apartments and being asked to check-in at another desk, then being sent to the back of the queue of the original queue. Also only having one buggy running at a time to take you to an apartment that was a 1min walk away was a little odd. Still, a very enjoyable stay and will be happy to visit again.

Recently back from these villas in Mlini. They are part of the hotel and you enjoy the full range of services on offer. We stayed in 591 which was at the far end and the view was spectacular… Room was excellent, self contained, with fridge, cooker, utensils etc. Cleaners called every morning, fresh towels if needed, including beach/pool towels. Beds were excellent for us, but that it a personal choice. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Wi-fi was excellent. Air con was a mystery, seemed to work then, didn’t…we did report it… Could be an issue in the height of summer. Couldn’t fault the bar area, beachside restuarant and pool. Plenty of sun beds so no need to panic. The only thing to be aware of is if you struggle with walking difficulties the villas may not be ideal for you…lots of steep steps and slopes. Absolutely recommend this venue

Lovely apartment right at the waterside. The stairs into the water are damaged so we couldn’t get into the sea from here. It wasn’t a problem as it’s easy access to the sea from outside the swimming pool. The hotel staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough to help us. It would’ve been helpful if Jet2 let us know as we were arriving on Easter Sunday and had booked a self catering apartment that all the shops including supermarkets would be closed on both Sunday and Monday, as we struggled to buy food for breakfast, and we had to eat out otherwise we’d have starved.

This is such a lovely hotel. Gorgeous views, clean and friendly. 20 minute walk to shopping centre. It’s a five minute walk to get the water ferry to Dubrovnik. Beautiful pool and beach right next to each other. Would highly recommend as a place to stay.
