This was a stunning castle to stay in. The frescoed ceilings were gorgeous. Loved every minute that we were there. The staff were wonderful. The only thing i would recommend is to add a vending machine and maybe to offer pastries in thr morning.

Staff was not very polite. Restaurant was closed for the duration of our 1 week stay. Toilet didn't work properly and we had to provide our own toilet paper. Rooms didn't have screens and were cold. There was an additional charge to have heat activated. Charged additional $150 cleaning fee for 5 days and they required us to take out our own trash and recycle.

Beautiful castle and views Beautiful castle that would be so much more enjoyable with just a few changes. Windows need to be able to attach to shutters so will stay open and not blow closed with wind. Basic items such as toilet paper, seasonings for cooking, more comfortable twin mattress, ability to order basic meals at restaurant if wanted.

Great hotel experience Great location, great service, great facilities. Unfortunately not wifi signal in rooms. Not reataurant for breakfast.

Suggestiva location situata a circa 20km da Firenze in posizione un po' isolata ma tranquilla vicino a Montespertoli. Gentilissimi i signori della reception che ci hanno accolto accompagnandoci nell'appartamento e dandoci tutte le spiegazioni necessarie anche su dove mangiare e fare la spesa. Location davvero suggestiva con un potenziale enorme ma un po' trascurata, appartamento grande e arredato abbastanza bene. Da migliorare un po' la pulizia con qualche ragnatela di troppo e qualche macchia di muffa da eliminare nei bagni. Stoviglie e pentole a disposizione nuove e pulite, da migliorare anche la situazione delle zone esterne con i gazebi che andrebbero cambiati perché non fanno un bell'effetto. Nel complesso prezzo giusto e comunque una soluzione comoda per visitare la Toscana.

The apartment was far too warm, with its thick walls and no air conditioning- We could not sleep at night, our 11yr old daughter had to take cold showers over night and my heart rate was raised by the Intense heat- they only provided small plug in fans that circulated the hot air- we conferred with other guests with Small children and they were aghast they did not provide air conditioning units in any of the rooms- we all were not sleeping well. The hotel does not have a concierge or any assistance with luggage. The apartment was basic, not cooker, proper cooking utensils and cleaning materials. The rooms were never serviced throughout the week we stayed and towels or bedding were not changed. On the plus side the setting of the hotel is Stunning although the castle is run down but rustic and beautiful. The restaurant was good, with an amazing view across Tuscany’s country side- and the staff serving were lovely and friendly. However, no bar services during the day or lunch available. The pool is lovely but no pool side staff to monitor behaviours in the pool- we did note some full on, inappropriate behaviours in the pool in-front of young kids which wasnt good. Overall, I would not recommend this accommodation in the hot summer months for families with young kids but spring or winter would be better for children.
