Vacation nightmare / scam I had the worst vacation experience at this property. After a long 10-hour drive, I struggled to get in touch with the host to receive the access information, which she only provided 10 minutes before our arrival.The apartment is located on a busy street, right next to a bus stop, making it extremely difficult to unload all my luggage, a week's worth of groceries, and Christmas gifts.After carrying everything up the stairs and finally opening the door, hoping to rest, we were hit with a strong cigarette odor. This was particularly challenging for someone with asthma, and it was a blatant lie since the listing claimed the apartment was smoke-free.To make matters worse, after such a long drive, everyone in my family wanted to use the bathroom, only to discover that the apartment didn’t have running water. This made it impossible to use the toilet—an especially dire situation for a family of four.We tried contacting the host for over an hour without any response. I eventually had to reach out to Vrbo's customer support, who provided me with an alternate phone number. The host finally responded but told us there was nothing they could do until the next morning.As a result, we were forced to leave the property and find a habitable place where we could use basic amenities like a toilet and sink shower.Additional issues included:-Bed were not clean- hairs, dusty pillow-The shared refrigerator was filthy, with rotten food- The carpet was filty- Inside refri not working
