Pafuri Camp

Our time in Pafuri was filled with unforgettable moments, but two stand out in particular. Seeing the Fever Tree Pan at dusk was pure magic — the soft golden light filtering through the trees created a dreamlike atmosphere. Even more thrilling was watching a pack of wild dogs jogging along the road, right past our vehicle just after dawn. It was an incredibly rare and intimate wildlife experience. The location of the lodge, set right along the river, is extraordinary. From the deck, you can watch birds, crocodiles, and other animals pass by — it’s like having a front-row seat to nature. The birdwatching throughout the reserve was phenomenal, with an astonishing variety of species and nonstop activity. What made the experience even more special was the excellent service — the staff were always friendly, helpful, and made us feel truly welcome. Pafuri’s combination of remote wilderness, unique landscapes, warm hospitality, and exceptional wildlife encounters makes it a truly special destination.

Our visit to Pafuri Tented Camp was a highlight in our visit to The Kruger National Park. From arriving to leaving, we were treated like VIP's with all our expectations being met and/or exceeded. The topography of the area is truly unique and exceptionally special, definitely worth a visit.

What a stunning place to be? Awesome, the Kruger experience in an ultimate location, overviewing the Lewuhu river. Extremly knowlegeable guide showing us the remotest places from the mighty Limpopo river to the archilogical sites. A prime location for birding and game viewing. Very helpful and kind personal, excellent food, not the slightest complaints, just a place you have to go.....

Such a special place with such special people. We love every second we are there. Stunning location on the Luvuvhu river, where there is always a chance to see Pel's Fishing Owl. Birds are next level and the rangers know them so well.

Pafuri camp offers luxury tented accommodation in a superb location on the banks of the Luvuvhu River. The service and meals in the camp are excellent. The guided drives take you to breathtaking views of special places such as Lanner Gorge, vast pans and flood plains, fever tree forests, giant baobab trees and the currently flowing Limpopo River. Our guide did his utmost to find all the special birds we had on our wish list. Waking up to several species of owls, nightjars, ground hornbills and robin-chats calling will always be special.
