Poor quality of Hotel all inclusive,there’s to many people smoking in everywhere,they may have (non smoking signs) ,the variety of food is not so good

arived 0 2/06/07 raining got first room ground floor to find swimming pool on bed a long with bad smell second room after 2 hours wait in lobbie smelt just as bad as first room only with trees and water comming through french windows thierd room thay offerd us we could not get in it would not unlock so then the rep told us that we had to go to a 5 star hotel and there would be some one there to meet us when we walked ther no one new what was going on so we had to go back finaly we got a room at about 02.30.am after getting there at 16.20.pm it was still no good and smelly black mould growing out of the air con and full of damp the food if you can call it food cold every thing chips potatoes gravey burgers only half cooked swimming pool dirty tiels broken filters verry verry dirty

Awful. The main kids club (under 4's) was closed for some reason for the whole time I was at this hotel so the kids club was in a standard hotel room with double beds! very little toys, rude and unenthusiastic staff. I caught staff laying down on bed watching tv after taking my 2 toddlers there and turning round to pick them back up after 5 mins of feeling guilty. Electrical socket hanging off wall in our room, dirty stained covers, mouldy air vents, taps full of limescale, rusty fridge door in hotel room. All in all unhappy with 2 weeks at this hotel which is in no way a 4 star and will be contacting ABTA about this. Would certainly not recommend for children or adults.

I feel compelled to write this review to prevent others from the profound disappointment and discomfort we experienced. The Sol Cayo Coco is, without exaggeration, in a state of severe disrepair and has critical issues with hygiene and maintenance that make it uninhabitable by modern standards. The most alarming problem is the complete lack of basic hygiene. We witnessed cockroaches freely roaming the buffet area during operating hours, which is completely unacceptable. This was compounded by pervasive mold throughout the property—in the air conditioning units, on the walls, and in the bathrooms, creating a constant musty odor and raising serious health concerns. The facilities are utterly dilapidated and in desperate need of a total renovation. What is pictured online does not reflect the current reality of broken furniture, stained carpets, and crumbling infrastructure. The food quality and selection were incredibly poor, ranking among the worst we have ever encountered at an all-inclusive resort. In my honest opinion, this property is beyond simple repairs. I would strongly advise all potential guests to avoid this hotel at all costs, even for a single night. The combination of health risks and substandard conditions makes any potential savings not worth the risk. This hotel should be demolished and rebuilt from the ground up!!!!

Highly recommend for an authentic vacation! As a solo traveler who vacations 3 times a year, after research I chose Sol cayo coco for an authentic vacation. I chose well!!! It was one of my favorite places to stay! I was surrounded by cuban family's, European couples and other solo travelers from around the globe! Yordanis (online marketing manager IG &FB) did a wonderful job suggesting a room amd amenities! His wonderful promotion of the hotel is the reason I went! Room: spectacular, comfortable beds, VERY CLEAN AND AMAZING VIEW OF POOL AMD OCEAN! Food & Drinks: I have visited cuba 30+ and have never had been so well fed! Authentic cuban supper at Don Diego restaurant 5 star! And BBQ down on beach..buffet was really good for all meals! Drinks were well made and servers took pride at wonderful presentation served in glass ware!!! Beach: one the best beaches I swam in! Choice of 2...one shallow the other deep! Other guests &lobby life : omg I have not had so much fun, wonderful cuban family's or couples celebrate special moments (birthday...anniversaries) or European travellings to experience cuba. All were kind and inviting. Funny moments 😄 Beautiful gardens!!! The grounds were amazing. Can find many varieties of plants and flowers! I work at botanical garden and was amazed to see some flowers we have there on the grounds!!! I absolutely loved my stay and shocked at the wonderful service during low season with low occupation well fed slept great and surrounded by amazing staff and guests!!! If you are looking for a real vacation surrounded by diverse people in a beautiful beach environment this is it!!!
