If you visit expect all bells and whistles you’ll be disappointed. This is a basic family run place to stay that is clean and quiet. We used this place purely as a base to explore kefalonia from and it worked perfectly for that. Air con worked, bathroom all fine, kitchen very basic but it is what it is. Pool all lovey and quiet as well. Bar never open but that didn’t matter at all. Grounds were kept immaculate. My one complaint would be that the family need to invest in good quality mattresses. I felt every spring and they were rock hard so sleep was difficult at best. All said and done…… for 40Euros a night in the height of summer you can’t complain. One thing for sure. You definitely need a hire car to get to amenities and generally get around. This is a tricky place to get to on foot in heat.

Just got back from a weeks holiday at Lygies Studios with my friend. This is just what you’d expect from a basic self-catering apartment. The room was very clean and the beds were good. The balcony was stunning in the late afternoon/evening, as the sun came over to that side of the building! The pool was maintained and was always very clean! The room also had a fridge with a freezer part at the top, to keep drinks cold! The air con worked well too; although I didn’t see anything on here or when I booked it about paying for it. It was €7 a day, and he charged us for 5 days for our 7 day stay. I would 100% recommend hiring a car for Kefalonia. This apartment/hotel is definitely more for people who would like a few pool days but want to explore beaches/other areas. The aparthotel is on a hill, and looking at reviews and driving up and down the hill, it looks tough - I wouldn’t recommend the walk to the shops of taverna, but it’s doable. Book this aparthotel if you want something basic but clean, you want a few pool days and want to explore other areas. It’s a very good base for Lassi, Argostoli (15 mins away) and Lourdes (10 mins away); Skala too, but it’s a 35 minute drive.
