Fur Coat - no Knickers While this hotel seems to have it all its missing something - It was an impressive building done up in an old world fashion - I Couldnt put my finger on it - there was something missing - I read the brochure over breakfast which was avoidance copywriting at its finest then i did a bit of digging and realised that while i thought I was staying in an old country estate - nothing existed here since the year 2000 - Its like disney land for adults - I felt i was staying in a film set - nothing was real - while there was no expense spared in the finish of the actual place in terms of fit out and build - it didnt feel real - that coupled with sticky tables at breakfast - which needed a good sand and varnish as opposed to being sprayed with kitchen spray after each meal - and for people crossing the vast car park in slippers and dressing gowns going from one pool to another - made for a strange experience

Really enjoyed our stay. The Italian Restaurant is excellent. Breakfast was also very good. Staff were very friendly. Comfortable room Water and tea-making provided. Enjoyed the sound of the running stream outside our window. Didn't try the spa. However the separate swimming pool was nice-water quite warm.

This was my first visit to Brooklodge. It was wonderful. Staff are friendly, professional and efficient. Fabulous meals, great massage. Planning my next visit already. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay with lovely room. Well done Brooklodge.com

Attended a wedding here recently, and while the wedding itself was stunning, the hotel left a lot to be desired and honestly, we were completely ripped off by the rate they charge for staying during a wedding. We were charged close to €400 for a one night stay in a room that was extremely shabby. Looked like it hadn’t had any maintenance done in quite a while. It’s a 4 star hotel but the room was probably 2 star standard in terms of maintenance and upkeep. It also wasn’t very clean, the lampshade had dead bugs on it from god knows when and there were lots of other dead bugs in the room, so it mustn’t have been hoovered or cleaned very well. I probably wouldn’t have cared as much had we been charged a reasonable rate but I could have stayed the night in a 5 star hotel elsewhere for the same price. Unfortunately this hotel is so remote you’re left with few choices other than to stay over which is why they can charge so much. If you’re considering having your wedding here, keep in mind the cost for your guests if they’re not included within the small amount of rooms you’re given with the wedding rate. Breakfast was a let down too. You’re handed a menu and told to order so one would assume the food is cooked to order. Nope, you can expect your full Irish to come out of some sort of hot pot after being cooked hours earlier judging by the temperature, texture and look of the food. The only positive was that the wedding meal was lovely and staff were lovely but I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay overnight here.

Stayed at BrookLodge on Saturday night last . Nestled away in the Wicklow countryside , BrookLodge is ideal for anyone looking to escape your busy life and simply chill . Exceptional staff and wonderful food at the Strawberry Restaurant make this a must visit again spot !!! Thank you BrookLodge , we had a most enjoyable experience.

Frühstück und Service waren top. Das Zimmer ganz ok, die Einrichtung ist in die Jahre gekommen, vor allem das Badezimmer. Was überhaupt nicht geht ist die Essenssituation. Nur die Taverne war geöffnet und wir hatten und wollten auch vorab nicht reservieren. Wir fragten gegen 18 Uhr im Pub, ob man auch dort etwas zu essen bekommen könnte. Dies wurde klar und deutlich verneint. Taverne war noch geschlossen. Also fuhren wir in den nächsten Ort, der auch nur einen TakeAway hatte. Dort versorgten wir uns mit einer Pizza , die wir dann später auf unserem Zimmer aßen. Als wir später auf ein Bierchen in den Pub kamen, mussten wir feststellen, dass mindestens 12 Personen dort eine Pizza aßen! Dankeschön dafür!
