"The hotel is centrally located and a very short walk to the old city where many dining and shopping options are available. I stayed four nights, two nights at a time as I had a night in Serbia in between. The single room during the first two nights was tiny but large enough for one person. Clean, with a single bed, TV, bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. The double room during the last two nights was larger with the same basic amenities. Both rooms were on the main street, neither had air conditioning. Being on the street and having to have the window open for air flow meant hearing all the street noise all night long. The first room did not even have a fan which meant ZERO air flow, I literally did not sleep the second night due to temperature and humidity in the room. The double room had a tiny desk top fan which made sleeping barely tolerable. Free coffee was a perk, no breakfast was included. If you are staying in Murten I would suggest finding another hotel as the discomforts outweigh the cost savings."

"The hotel is very pleasant and ideally located, right on the lake and next to the old town. The location is truly perfect for fully enjoying Murten on foot. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. They speak French, English, German, and Italian, which makes communication very easy and enjoyable. We had room number 3 with a city view. It was spacious and the bedding very comfortable. The only slight drawback of our stay was the soundproofing: on the street side, it's quite noisy with the passing buses. Earplugs would be a nice touch. We also ate at the hotel restaurant, and it was delicious. There are paid parking lots on both sides of the hotel, which is convenient. We recommend this hotel without hesitation."
