This hotel was a dream - an absolutely must stay during your time in Rwanda. We stayed here when we were in Volcanoes National Park for our gorilla trekking, and I do not think we have ever stayed at a hotel that has offered better and more complete customer service. I know it is tempting to pack your time here with all of the Volcanoes activities, but give yourself some time to stay at the hotel and enjoy the amenities like the pool and the spa (and the amazing hospitality and service). We received an upgrade in our room upon arrival, had the most wonderful massages at the spa, and had excellent breakfast, lunch, and dinner service for every meal. The hotel also offers laundry service and complimentary cleaning of your boots after gorilla trekking, which was just above and beyond and exactly what we needed. This hotel is also where we discovered Akabanga hot sauce - which is Rwanda's own chile oil sauce - and it is our new favorite hot sauce - you absolutely must try it in Rwanda. We bought some there and continue to buy it on Amazon now that we are home. We booked this Tiloreza and our gorilla trekking through Jelani Travel and would highly recommend reaching out to Ashley to assist with your trip.

Just checked out today after 2 wonderful nights here. The property is beautiful. But the staff is what makes the place amazing. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. It was chilly the nights we stayed and we were surprised to come back from dinner and find 2 hot water bottles under the covers to warm the bed, very appreciated. We did 2 days of trekking and gaiters are provided here, which was nice. They also cleaned our hiking boots each day and they looked like new when they were done. After our first day of trekking we came back with very dirty rain pants, they even cleaned those. In addition to drying my husband’s rain jacket. I’m not sure we will ever make it back to visit Rwanda but if we do, we’d definitely stay here again, probably making it a 3 night stay next time. Thank you to all the amazing staff that made our trip wonderful.

Ecolodge situé à proximité du départ pour le trek à la découverte des gorilles de montagne. Excellent accueil par la réceptionniste, sourire et convivialité. Chambre spacieuse propre, salle de bains avec double douche. Pour le restaurant, le service est soigné et convivial. Excellente nourriture. Merci à Jean-Claude pour sa formation sur le café et d’avoir profité de son savoir faire pour nous faire déguster de délicieux cafés locaux. Au retour du trek le personnel nettoie les chaussures et elles reviennent comme neuves ! Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Tiloreza Lodge grâce au personnel qui donne une atmosphère et une âme si spéciale, nous n’avons pas envie de repartir. Un grand merci à tous !!!!

Petit hôtel à la limite de la ville dans la direction des gorilles. Très grandes chambres mais très sombres sans vue et salle de bains très froide quand il fait mauvais dehors même en mai . Restaurant sympathique mais aussi sans fermeture donc frais. Nourriture plutôt agréable et variée . Piscine s’il fait beau et chaud… mon jugement est très influencé par une météo fraîche et humide ce qui n’enlève rien à l’intérêt d’aller voir les gorilles

Great hotel, wonderful staff
Beautiful hotel well located for hikes in the area. We stayed in the large cottage which is a very nice spacious option for families. Staff was very kind and accommodating (always went the extra mile) and as others have noted the food was really excellent. Light and healthy and tasted very fresh—the best food we had in Rwanda.

Good location and value for money for visiting the nearby Volcanoes National Park. Friendly and helpful staff and nice curries in the restaurant. The room was a bit dark, basic equipment but funny "couple shower", and matresses are rather hard.

During my 3-day stay for gorilla trekking, I had a wonderful experience. Everyone I interacted with was eager to make my stay enjoyable. Jean Claude, in particular, stood out; he took extra care to ensure that my packed lunch for one of my hikes met my preferences. After a long hike, he welcomed me with a drink and made a special meal before departing for Canada. I cannot thank them enough for the enjoyable experience I had staying at this beautiful lodge, especially as a first time solo traveller.

Good place to stay near the Volcanoes park
I loved this place—prolific bird life in the garden, including sunbirds.
Good restaurant with a view.
