The Lahe Hotels

the area is not attractive though it a quite place. The road connecting main road and the compound is worse, the owner should pull up the socks regarding the whole environment of the hotel. the price is equate different with the service provided and the room environment. Isn't qualified to be called a hotel...its just a lodge.

Do not stay here! The rooms were unclean and worst of all when we went to breakfast money and gold jewellery was stolen from our locked room! The receptionist was nice but could not do anything to find the culprits. But clearly there are issues with security and staff.

The setting was perfect, stunning location high on a hill so the air felt fresh compared to the rest of the city. Beautiful views over the lake. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, the rooms were lovely. Such good value for money. The staff were very attentive and helpful and the owner is just lovely. Incredibly interesting to talk to and very attentive. We were sad to only have one night there.

Amazing place The people are amazing. The owner Donald ndgula is an absolute gentleman who goes above and beyond to make people welcome and at home. The staff are so courteous and I love the all. I want to say a special thanks to Leonard, luizer,Clement, justony James, sorry if I missed any names I am so satisfied with service. And the food we have had been has been top class. Thanks so much for the amazing hospitality you deserve 5 stars asante Sana

Although the venue has potential to be nice, the rooms and facilities are very run down. It needs a big upgrade. TV had no power cable and nothing to connect cable to. None could be provided. The free wifi was non existent. I wish I had taken photos of the bathroom. The AC worked fine. We waited 3 hours for our dinner only to receive something that was inedible. The owner was there at the end and proceeded to degrade the 3 young boys who had attempted to cook our dinner, in front of us. It was very awkward. He blamed everyone and took no responsibility. Disrupted what was left of our dinner. At least he didn’t have the nerve to charge for it. We had paid for two nights but at dinner decided to cancel the second night. First we were told that it was no problem by reception but when the owner got word he said it could not be done. He was very rude, inexcusably unprofessional. I told him I would be writing a review he said go ahead. So I am. The two different receptionists we saw were very good and professional. The hotel will not survive under the management of the owner, Edmira. I strongly suggest no one stay here. The hotel is far from town, up some steep hills. No choice but to eat at the hotel. The pool is very nice but we ended up sacrificing our second night payment and left early. I have seen a similar review for this hotel so I don’t think it is a one if experience. I feel for the people working there.

For everything in this world I would never recommend this “hotel” to anyone. The hotel was such a scam, All the furniture was broken, the pictures did not at all live up to the expectations, the staff was the most unprofessional (and not speaking English). 2 hours after our arrival we decided to check the opportunity for earlier check out as we really didn’t like to be there nor felt safe. We went to the reception. The receptionist called the owner that introduced himself and after we told about our wish to leave he started YELLING and called us a lot of swear words. We ended up paying for 4 days for a hotel we were in for 2 hours and had the worst food ever that was totally overpriced. When we was about to leave the only other guests at the hotel approached us and asked if we also had the worst experience ever. I would never recommend this to anyone. Don’t make the same mistake as we did.
