The Fort Nalagarh

Reasonable value for money hotel resort. It is a heritage site managed by a small team run by Mr Sumit Singh , GM. Rooms are clean, furnishings reasonably ok- not the best . Breakfast spread is ok, dinner is decent, menu tarriffs reasonable. Staff is good, helpful. Only negative- some of the accessories in rooms not working- we had booked 5 rooms- tv not working in one, ac in another- needs focus on maintenance.

The staff is good. People at the reception are nice but the condition of the rooms is not good. A lot of improvements need to be made. The money was not recovered.

I enjoyed here. It is excellent property with pool, badminton court, snooker, bar and park. Food was really really good. I had awesome time with family.

Grande e suggestivo hotel ricavato dall'antico forte della città, restaurato e ridipinto di bianco e blu. E' tutto un insieme di spazi, scale, cortili e terrazze che incombono sulla vicina cittadina. Vista panoramica sulle Shivalik hills. Spettacolari tramonti dai grandi spazi merlati sui tetti della fortezza. Belle suite arredate con mobili ottocenteschi, foto d'epoca e spazi comuni ampi e affascinanti. Naturalmente la tipologia di soluzione non riesce a nascondere i piccoli difetti pratici connessi alle vecchie strutture di questo genere, la polverosità, l'aspetto comunque un po' trasandato e la scarsa efficienza di bagni e attrezzature, ma l'insieme è tuttavia molto particolare e gradevole e ti fa accettare senza problemi anche questi che possiamo definire piccole magagne. Stanze immense, con balconate sulla valle, bagni comunque accettabili e letti king. AC, TV, acqua e kit thè/caffè, tradizionali ventilatori a soffitto e nel bisogno stufe, ma niente frigo e durante il nostro soggiorno niente wifi, anche se dichiarato esistente. Ampia piscina a disposizione e campo da tennis. Ristorante con cene a buffet. La doppia inclusa colazione da 40 a 60 € a seconda della stagionalità. Comunque sia un soggiorno molto particolare che a me piace molto per le sensazioni di altri tempi che riesce a regalare.

If you want luxury then this property is not for you. Old heritage building, peaceful with a lot of greenery. Neat and clean. V nice buffet breakfast but the manager a little fussy when asked to show around the property. Rooms are not exactly like what is shown in pictures. Not bad in this price for a night or two get away from hustle bustle of towns
