Chateau Saint Denis Hotel, a Trademark Collection by Wyndham

I was pleased with the nice room, quiet but potent a/c, up-to-date bathroom, cleanliness, luggage rack, comfy beds, courteous & friendly service. A highlight was breakfast- scrumptious eggs! Locations is the best!!! Natchitoches is wonderful place to visit & drink in Old South, Creole origins & Cane River Region history. Hope Wyndham pulls out the stops to keep this place together!

This was our fourth stay at Chateau Saint Denis. It has been over a year since our last visit but many things have changed, and not for the good. This hotel has been under rated but it no longer is. Here's what we experienced. The front desk crew was clueless. They charged us more that we had a reservation for. When I showed them a print out of our guaranteed rate they just shrugged looked away. OK, we drove three hours and were tired so we tolerated it. The room was not up to our expected quality. The bathroom lacked the regular amenities. The soap and shampoo containers were empty. The TV remote didn't work and the room safe combination reset didn't work. With two calls to the front desk the maintenance guy replaced the remote and put batteries in the safe. Room service(?) brought up soap and shampoo. The breakfast was sparse and room temp. We don't know what has changed but we will be staying at a hotel by the interstate going forward. It makes me sad to report this.

I booked a room online which had a 72 hour cancellation policy. These fools charged my card more than 2 weeks in advance with no notice or authorization. I canceled the reservation immediately. Two weeks later they still have not refunded my money. I disputed the charge on my card, and it's still "under merchant consideration". Crooks.
