Avoid this place unless you dress cool and act cool. The front desk ladies are honestly in need of training. We paid to stay there, not the other way. They don’t give a dime about you. Perhaps hospitality sector in North America is in a bubble by itself. They operate in a silo. There is no warmth. They don’t offer to help even when you check-in. It is self-service. DIY. Even at this location/price point. Every person/guest is a transaction, exactly what Wall Street (its location) is all about. On checkout, they didn’t even inform me about the extra charges, until I asked for my deposit back. Probably my worst IHG hotel stay. Good luck to those staying there.
The ladies at the front desk should be working in a non-human facing role.
The cleaners making up the room should be credited for the clean and tidy rooms. There are many copies of WSJ to read to keep up with financial markets.
Don’t make the same mistake as us. Tell them you’re cool and that you’re worth a million bucks. And maybe you get treated better. 😉
