The Wrea Head Hall Country House Hotel & Restaurant

I've been here a few times and absolutely love it. Room was beautiful and food amazing. Shout out for the raspberry bakewell tart 😋 Staff were so lovely - nothing was too much for them. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The room had a very comfortable bed and excellent shower. We will definitely be planning a return visit.

Absolutely top notch from start to finish. Really nice place and grounds. Comfy room and excellent food. Staff were very friendly and professional. Highly delighted and happy to recommend we came on recommendation and happy to return asap!!

We spent 3 nights at Wrea Head Hall and ‘upgraded’ to Room 4 with an amazing long view towards Scarborough Castle. The hotel is situated in Scalby, a lovely village to the north of Scarborough. The room was amazing, a very comfortable large bed, plenty of storage, a modern, well appointed bathroom. There was lots of room to relax. The food - both dinner and breakfast - were freshly prepared, local ingredients varied and imaginative. All the staff were friendly, professional and VERY helpful. We will be returning . . ..!!

My husband and I have stayed here about six times in the last year.The last time we stayed our bubble was burst with a poor evening dinner.We both chose beef bourguinon and the meat was so tough, we couldn’t eat it.We did tell the waitress when she collected our plates and we told Laura the next morning when we paid our bill.She said she would mention it to the manager but we didn’t get any kind of apology.After so many stays there, I would have expected an apology of some sort but we feel as if we have been fobbed off as unimportant.We won’t be going again.I did leave a similar review on their website, although they have replied to the other comments, mine has been overlooked and ignored.

We have stayed here at least six times over the last year.The last time our bubble was burst by a disappointing evening dinner.My husband and I both chose beef bourguignon and the beef was so tough we couldn’t eat it.Its the first time that we have had a meal that was not good there.We told the waitress when she collected our plates and we also mentioned it to Laura when we paid our bill the following morning.She just said she would pass it on to her manager, but we haven’t had a word of apology from anyone.I did but a similar message to this on their website and noticed that everyone’s comments had a reply but ours was ignored.I don’t really like putting bad reviews on here but I feel as though we are being overlooked .I don’t think we will visit again.We have recommended it so several people but won’t again.We feel let down by whoever is in charge.We aren’t trying to get anything in way of recompense, but an apology would have gone a long way for us.
