White Hart, Newmarket by Marston's Inns

Overall pleased with everything, room was comfortable and clean, we had a triple room, which was located at the front of the building, road noise happened quite early in the morning, so if you have your window open it can be quite loud, but that's not the fault of the venue. There were towels, soap and shower gel on the bathroom. Extra pillows, and ironing board, we had to ask for the iron, but that was rectified rapidly, there was also a fan, which was very much appreciated, as it was quite warm the night we stayed. Breakfast was mostly good, although some of the cooked breakfast was rather over done, but it didn't warrant a complaint. Staff were pleasant. Checking in was very easy, you can check in and out online if you wish.

paid £97 for a twin room. The room was small, dirty and in need of redecorating. There were various stains on the walls and dust on all surfaces. The paint was chipped everywhere and the over bath shower leaked making it dangerous when stepping onto the floor. The joints between the tiles were black and the window dirty and peeling. The room was extremely hot in the night and although there was an electric fan it couldn’t be placed anywhere near the bed so I resorted to taking the duvet out of the cover and using it as a sheet. On a positive note , there is free parking,checkout is 11 am and the hotel is in a prime location on the high street near to bars, shops and restaurants . Sadly , I couldn’t recommend this hotel as it is at the moment.

We visited The White Hart Hotel in Newmarket on Saturday 16th August, after a summer race day at Newmarket, and it was the perfect place to keep the good vibes going! We were a lively STEN party out with family, and the atmosphere was just what we were after, fun, welcoming, and full of energy. Huge shoutout to Molly, who gave us absolutely fantastic service. She was warm, attentive, and handled our group like a pro. Nothing was too much trouble, and she made sure we were all having a great time. The White Hart is a must. Highly recommend!

Friendly staff, pleasant rooms (a little hot during summer - one small fan probably not enough to do the trick, a bigger/stronger one would've been good!), comfortable beds, quiet despite being on main street. Restaurant downstairs is good value and plenty of other eating options nearby. Family room is a little on the cosy side but to be expected in older buildings. Overall happy, we'd return!

I booked two rooms at The White Hart this week on business Centrally located in new market the Pub/ Hotel has a large carpark adjacent which is free if you’re a guest at the hotel On arrival we were warmly greeted and our rooms where large , clean and comfortable On arrival we were informed that as guests we were entitled to a 20% discount of food in the on site restaurant We both dined at the restaurant which offered a great selection of traditional food and we settled on garlic mushrooms, fish and chips with peas and a gammon steak with pineapple All were really nice and tasty and we both enjoyed our meals The restaurant was really good value and exceptional with the 20% discount and the rooms were exceptional value at £72.50 each Highly recommend and I would definitely return if I am ever in Newmarket
